How Many Times
Wolfmother Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
How many times I slip away
How many times I find another way
How many times I find myself wandering
How many times down this road
How many times I find it's time to go
So many times you got to let it flow
So many times I guess you'll never know
So many times you got to let it show
How many times I find myself wandering
How many times down this road
How many times I find it's time to go
The above lyrics are from the song "How Many Times" by Wolfmother, which was released in 2014 as part of their album "New Crown". The song is a reflection on the cyclical nature of life and the struggles that are associated with it. The first three stanzas echo this sentiment, with the repeated phrase "How many times" emphasizing how often we find ourselves facing similar challenges, trying to find new paths, or deciding when it's time to leave a situation behind.
The chorus of the song adds a layer of introspection, suggesting that there are things we will never know or understand fully, and that sometimes we simply have to let things flow or show themselves in their own time. The repeated phrase "So many times" in the chorus feels like a lament; the singer is acknowledging that life can be mysterious and difficult to navigate, and that there are no easy answers to the questions we face.
Overall, "How Many Times" feels like a gritty but hopeful anthem that encourages listeners to keep pushing forward despite the difficulties they may encounter. It recognizes the inherent messiness of life but also reminds us that there is beauty to be found in the struggle.
