1) Women was formed in late 2007 by Chris Reimer, Mike Wallace and brothers Pat Flegel and Matt Flegel in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Their debut full-length was produced by Flemish Eye Records label-mate Chad VanGaalen (in his basement studio) and was released (CD/LP) July 8th 2008 on Flemish Eye Records. In July 2008, they signed with record label Jagjaguwar and their S/T debut album was released worldwide on October 7th 2008 and in the U.K in January 2009. The band toured Europe and the US extensively. The band's second album, "Public Strain" was released in August 2010 in the UK and September 28th, 2010 everywhere else. After a fight onstage in late 2010, rumours would circulate about the group's break-up, but management later confirmed they had only cancelled the rest of the tour. On February 22, 2012 , guitarist Christopher Reimer, passed away in his sleep, at age 26. Following Reimer's death, Matt Flegel and Mike Wallace would go on to form the group Preoccupations (formerly known as Viet Cong), with Pat Flegel forming Cindy Lee.
2) Women is also a punk band from Philly .

Untogether
Women Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No chance for a tie
No chance for all time
Heir impound the sailor malls
Old pleasure than you
No pleasure than you
Talk to the cop
To learn more than ever
Practically
Plot so hard
Hold them both together
Together
And stalk a new man home
No chance for a tie
None chance for all time
Moving plea
Talk to the cop
To learn more than ever
Practically
Plot so hard
Hold them both together
Together
The lyrics in Women's song "Untogether" are quite abstract, but there are a few different interpretations that could be applied to them. The first line, "Light all to not tune alarm," could potentially allude to living life without worrying too much about structure or following a set routine. The repeated phrase "No chance for a tie / No chance for all time" also emphasizes the idea of living in the moment without worrying too much about the future or trying to create strict plans. The next two lines, "Heir impound the sailor malls / Old pleasure than you / No pleasure than you," are open to interpretation but could potentially suggest a yearning for the freedom and adventure associated with being a sailor or traveler.
The chorus, "Moving plea / Talk to the cop / To learn more than ever / Practically / Plot so hard / Hold them both together / Together," seems to emphasize the importance of constant learning and growth in life. "Moving plea" could be interpreted as a desire for change or forward motion, while "talk to the cop" could suggest seeking guidance or advice from an authority figure. "Plot so hard / hold them both together" could be interpreted as a call to action, to work hard to achieve goals while balancing different parts of life.
