Like a deciduous tree, each May the band would grow as its members returned from schools across the country, and each September it would wither as they left again.
By late 2005, the band had become a coniferous tree, and featured the four-member lineup it has today. Working for two steady years on their debut, makeout songs by World of Science, the band was more than ready to release the album in January 2008.
World of Science is currently distributed in an open agreement with Treehouse Records, which also distributes Vancouver-based band Children of the CPU. Both Cam and Veronica are members of that band.
Cameron Shay
The brains behind the operation, former Ottawa resident and current visual artist Cameron has mastered the art of small scale studio recording and electronics. Saving the band untold millions in studio fees, Cameron recorded, produced and mixed all of World of Science’s debut album in his bedroom.
Kelly Schmidt
Holding down the low end of the band on bass, Kelly created the visual look of World of Science. Responsible for the art direction and photography of makeout songs, Kelly found the world’s most perfect motel for the band’s album art in her hometown of Ladner, British Columbia. She had partied there as a youth.
Veronica Rossos
Toronto native Veronica brought her shining golden voice to the World of Science collective in 2006, bringing seasons of experience singing karaoke with her. Veronica introduced her bandmates to the pleasures of the Howard Johnson on Kingsway’s karaoke night, where World of Science now practices stage presence every weekend.
David Eby
Contributing sad bastard lyrics to World of Science comes easily to David, who has an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Waterloo, a school primarily known for its Engineering program. David grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, and is a former member of Guard! the precursor band to the Approachables

I've never heard anyone use the phrase "the science is settled". The only time I've ever heard someone use a variation on this phrase is to exit a conversation with an illiterate moron yelling about the flat Earth and ignoring any presented proof.
1) "We never stop learning"
- I have no complaints on this point. That is a fair and accurate statement so long as you don't take it too far.
2) "The scientific consensus is frequently wrong"
- Uh... No... The scientific consensus can be wrong, and is on occasion wrong, but the word "frequently" is an extreme exaggeration. The only way to say it is frequently wrong without lying is to acknowledge the degrees to which it is "wrong", and to understand the context of what it means to be "wrong". If I tell you the next town over is 8 miles away would you say I'm wrong because the next town over is actually 7.98672 miles away? Similarly, due to our never ending learning we will make general progress each day toward being more accurate than the day before even if only by tiny degrees. Would you say every day that we were wrong yesterday but we are right today?
3) "Scientists are just as capable of bias as anyone else"
- This is exactly why real scientists will have their work and findings peer reviewed and scrutinized for malpractice or bias. A scientist, or let's be generous and say a group of scientists, may be biased and allow it to affect their work, but it is never the case that the entire scientific field they operate in will be biased as well, let alone share their specific biases. It is always wise to consider the sources of your information and triple check the information against other sources. When reasonable it is always wise to listen to any opposition to the information you are working under to keep an open mind and not let yourself become too confident that you can not be wrong.
The scientific method has come a long way. We know far more than any old sources could have possibly known in their time periods. Louis Pasteur was mocked, but the part you gloss over is the fact that his theories were found to be very well founded once they were investigated. It doesn't matter how he was treated when he revealed his never before considered theories, what matters is that he was heard and his ideas were tested.
This entire video is a rather disgusting mischaracterization of the scientific method and a subtle attack on the credibility of the scientific consensus. I wonder what biased motives might be behind such a video?

"Now we know better, or at least we think we do!" - great line!
Some things we are (currently) not capable to prove wrong, that's why we think they are true.

Great video, true science is about open discourse and debate. It is about curiosity and always questioning the status quo. Never arrive at the answer but rather it is a framework of eternal exploration and evolution of knowledge. Where science becomes stagnant it dies and becomes religion. Religion and science as such, have always been at conflict. At late the religion mindset has entered into science saying have faith and stop questioning. Censorship and the abolition of open debate is religion, it is never science. Science is the basis of wisdom and wisdom is defined as the nexus where human and divine wisdom coexist. The wise man knows he is a fool and the fool knows he is wise. The fool ends discussion with “There’s no point in discussing this more. The science is settled.” End of debate! Death to the scientific method! ¡Viva la Revolución!

How dare you speak Truth, thank you for doing so!

Great work, great graphics and flow. I have no clue how I discovered your channel, glad I did.
From my experience the people that say "the science is settled' are not well informed, only msm headline junkies. They are the kind of people that only discover a fraction of something and then think they know everything about it without looking at any contrary information or digging any further, and are not willing to learn anything further that counters their already deeply held beliefs on that certain subject.
You can split everything into two kinds infinitely. On this video, I would say the two kinds of people are, those that know the truth and those that are seeking the truth. Only one of which you can hold a conversation with.

Fancy seeing you here 😀
TheBottom Line
Who says the science is settled? Science is designed to be open-minded and seek out flaws.
Science is far more open-minded where religion is set in their beliefs from thousands for years ago. Science gives room to grow where religion cannot. Pointing out how the science has been wrong won't prove anything about a religion.

Science is a liar sometimes!
