WSTRN consists of Akelle Charles, Haile and Louis Rei.[1] The name bears no relevance to westerns; according to the band, the name represents positive vibrations[2] and to them means that it is "West London's turn to shut down the scene".[3] Akelle and Haile are cousins who know Louis through their inhabitance of West London, while Akelle is the brother of singer Angel[1] and was part of a band with him and his three other siblings called the Charles Family, co-managed by the late reggae singer Smiley Culture and Akelle's father, Tendai Charles, who was in the same reggae group as Haile's father. The group failed to achieve mainstream success despite being the subject of a BBC documentary One Life.[4]

The lyrics to Wstrn's song Love Struck delve into a love that is incredible and supernatural, almost as if some kind of magic or spell has been cast on the singer. The song begins with the phrase "Zaga dat," which is a slang term for approval or agreement, indicating that the singer is fully on board with what is happening. The lyrics also make use of the metaphor of an economic downturn to describe how the singer's love interest makes him feel. She "goes down like economy," which could mean that she is taking him on a wild ride, making him feel out of control, or simply that she is incredibly skilled in the bedroom.
The song also touches on the jealousy and possessiveness that can come with being in a relationship. The lyrics imply that other people are watching the singer's love interest with envy, and even though he tries to be the cool, calm, and collected one, he can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. However, the song ultimately ends on a positive note, with the singer expressing his willingness to do anything for his love interest and describing their love as "sweet e pass honey."
Overall, the lyrics to Love Struck are an exploration of the intense, all-consuming love that often comes with the early stages of a relationship. They capture the feeling of being utterly swept away by someone, even if it is not always logical or rational.
