In the mid-1960s Wynder K. Frog was the name of Weaver's band, which had Salford as its base. They released three studio LPs, then dissolved, around 1970. Weaver continued on his own as Wynder K. Frog, which thus became his solo moniker, post 1970.
The three studio albums by the original Wynder K. Frog band were Sunshine Super Frog (1967), Out of the Frying Pan (1968) and Into the Fire (1970). The latter only saw a U.S. release, after the band had already split up.
When Steve Winwood left Traffic to form Blind Faith, Weaver was recruited to replace him and Traffic became Mason, Capaldi, Wood and Frog, soon shortened to Wooden Frog. They played a few gigs before dissolving three months later when Traffic reformed.
After this he recorded with solo artists such as Buddy Guy, Dave Gilmour, Joe Cocker, Eric Burdon, Frankie Miller, Grease band, Keef Hartley, Eric Burdon, Roger Chapman, Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane and Gary Moore as well as Taj Mahal and The Blues Band, also playing keyboards with Steve Marriott's Majik Mijits.

Goosebumps - every time. Takes me right back to The Long Acres, Portobello, circa 1984.
Rows of Vespas and Lambrettas (and Mitch's Triumph T10) lined up around 2 sides of the pub.
Aggie on the decks, low-ceilinged room (Wynder K)-fogged with cigarette (and darkly-shaded resin) smoke and a tiny dancefloor that almost guaranteed a fight.
And, if you were even luckier, a night when Makin' Time were due on between sessions at their home town venue.
Sharp-dressed mods, amazingly beautiful modettes (including my cousin, Rachel - better get that in, otherwise I'm in trouble) and a vibe unrivalled at any mod venue I've been to since.
Unforgettable, most memorable, most joyous nights of my life. Like, ever. #KTF

Loved The Cramps version, then found the original by Jim Lowe... and now it's great to hear such a swinging take on it. Awesome tune!

I'm still torn with myself over some of the chewns that was played and we actually danced to. Some had no soul content whatsoever yet because it had the right tempo we danced to it. So I can totally understand why the purist chin stroking soul police might STILL bitch about Station Rd. But for every naff chewn there were 3 corkers from opening doors till the place closed its doors.
