Her solo albums and singles are all credited to the singular name Wynonna. Wynonna first rose to fame in the 1980s alongside her mother, Naomi, in the country music duo The Judds. The duo released seven albums on Curb Records, in addition to charting 26 singles, of which 14 were number one hits.

After The Judds disbanded in 1991, she then went to Texas Wynonna began a solo career, also on Curb. In her solo career, she has released eight studio albums, a live album, a holiday album and two compilation albums in addition to charting more than 20 singles of her own. Her first three singles—"She Is His Only Need", "I Saw the Light," and "No One Else on Earth"—all reached number one on the U.S. country singles charts consecutively, as did 1993's "Only Love" and 1996's, "To Be Loved by You." Three of her albums are certified platinum or higher by the RIAA. She released a new single, "Something You Can't Live Without," in March 2013. Her most recent recording, Wynonna & The Big Noise, was released on February 12, 2016 via Curb Records. Wynonna & the Big Noise are a country band lead by Wynonna and husband Cactus Mosher. Wynonna is most recognized for her musical work, although starting in the 2000s she has also pursued other interests, including writing, acting and philanthropy.

I thought the same…but it’s such a personal and emotional song to get through…I wanted to recite it at my Mom’s funeral in ‘11, but just couldn’t.

When my first born was 10 (19 years ago in 2003) he recited this song at his (other) grandmother’s funeral down in PCB. We sang it all the way down from Bham, just to make sure he had the words- even though they were already embedded within us.

It was a precious and Spirit filled moment to see God was able to use him with a beautiful, simple, and powerful song.
It’s words paint the perfect picture of peace for our loved ones...

After the funeral many of the guests complemented and asked “little Evans” about the “special poem” he wrote. He told them he didn’t write it, but that it was a new song by a band called Mercy Me (they loved that!). He also told them that we had gone to see them perform the song at Gardendale’s First Baptist Church in 2001, and that it had become his favorite song.
He said he wanted to share it for his grandmother who he knew was already in Heaven with Jesus. Someone got a napkin for him to write down the words to have and share.
The Holy Spirit was moving…All Glory to God!

Thankful for a song that paints the perfect backdrop of a Heavenly peace, joy, and mystery that is waiting for our loved ones at that most precious moment, and also reminds us of the day we will celebrate the same and be reunited with loved ones, both family and family in Christ, who’ve gone on ahead of us.

I saw my twin sister, in a dream, she was sad and with burdens. WTF? God showed me her sad and supposedly in heaven? No words and no message? @Lori Reed Perhaps she had a moment of sadness because she was separated from you. I don't think that there will be perpetual sadness or happiness when we get to heaven. Both of my parents are in heaven and my husband's and I are 82 and 85 with healthy issues- his very serious so a heavenly reunion with our parents is probably not too far into the future. I was very sad a few days ago because of the stress of caring for my husband. I was on our deck and, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pretty hummingbird who was sipping nectar from a flower that had come back from last year. I am one who looks for signs and I decided that the little bird was a sign from heaven that everything was going to be all right. Don't let dreams that are difficult to interpret make you lose faith in our Creator. In 1976, I had a stillborn daughter and I kept repeating, Jesus will get me through this and he did! I trust Him to get me through this as well. God bless you and keep you.

What a beautiful song
We had a dear friend sing this song for my son's funeral 17 years. My son died by suicide.
My heart aches for the Judd family.
Time heals but you never get over the loss.
I know my son is no longer suffering and is in a better place.

This song was played at my mom's funeral and gave our family so much peace knowing what the lyrics say about how glorious it was for her to go meet her parents who died in a house fire in 1971 on her birthday and her heavenly father. I've always listen to Christain music and loved this song and have requested it to be played at my funeral. My heart aches for the Judd gals and her husband because they lost a beautiful soul who walked this earth and gave so much back to their fans. RIP little momma and know you were loved by millions of fans thru out the world.

Phenomenal God given voice!!
I'm sick to death myself that I didn't go see Wynonna here in Pigeon Forge TN just days before her momma left. My daughter (in Louisiana) and I cried and cried together over the phone. Then just 4 days later my daughter went grocery shopping, came home, put groceries away, called her husband saying she didn't feel well & was going to lie on sofa a little bit. He called her back, no answer, rushed home, she died too. 😢 😭😭😭😭.
Our last long conversation was about how sad we were. We cried together over the loss for Ashley & Wynonna and about how we enjoyed going on the tours with my daughter's little girl, ASHLEY. (My only & precious granddaughter) who was killed in auto accident along with her little baby girl in a roll over in the Louisiana Bayou where they drowned. July 16th 2014. Since my husband was killed by a local tourist ranch owner's horse loose AGAIN, just 54 days before the girl's died I had no one to go with me to Wynonna's show here in town.
Quadruple sadness. I can take no more!
Praying for WYNONNA and ASHLEY.
I'll never forget the excitment OUR ASHLEY had as a tiny little girl going with us, not once, but twice to see Naomi and Wynonna on their tour.
God Please Bless Ashley and Wynonna. And my family now in Heaven and my daughter's loving husband and her grandson she raised to Graduation!
