I Want to Know What Love Is
Wynonna Judd Lyrics

I gotta take a little time
A little time to think things over
I better read between the lines
In case I need it when I'm older

This mountain I must climb
Feels like the world's upon my shoulders
Through the clouds I see love shine
It keeps me warm as life grows colder
In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
I can't stop now, I've traveled so far
To change this lonely life

I want to know what love is
I want you to show me
I want to feel what love is
I know you can show me

I'm gonna take a little time
A little time to look around me
I've got nowhere left to hide
It looks like love has finally found me

In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
Can't stop now, I've traveled so far
To change this lonely life

I want to know what love is
I want you to show me
I want to feel what love is
I know you can show me

I've heard many versions of this song but this is by far the most moving one the best if I may say.

Teri Damron

Sandi Kennedy

Wow she blew that outta the water!! Such power and emotion in that and lyrics are on point in so many people’s lives!! Tears are flowing along with memories!! Holy moly!!

Garden Girl

Reading wynonnas book. The tears and look on Ashley's face say so much about their life and relationship as sisters. They went thru a lot. I'm very happy for their successes. They deserve it!

B D

She's definitely a soul sister. 👌🏿

Best version of this song! Period!

Besides the original that’s hands down the best! Wy did this song justice!

Yes, hands down! I saw her sing this in a very small venue in upstate NY...she rocked the house. When she was done, all you could hear were gasps. Same back guy and gal back up singers as she takes everywhere. No intro, she just walks out when she's read...guitar in her hand.Amazing!
