White Christmas
Wynonna Judd Lyrics

Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
And may all your Christmases be white (all your Christmases be white)
And may all your Christmases be white (all your Christmases be white)
And may all your Christmases be
(All your Christmases be white)
(All your Christmases be white)
Wynonna Judd's version of "White Christmas" has the same lyrics as the original song written by Irving Berlin in 1942, but the country singer adds her own traditional twang to the holiday classic. "White Christmas" is a song filled with nostalgia and a longing for simpler times. The opening line "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know" suggests that the singer wants to relive the memories of past happy holidays from her childhood. She wishes to experience the magic of snow, hear the sleigh bells ringing, and watch the trees shimmer under the snow's glow.
The second verse of the song indicates the singer's hope that her friends and loved ones have a merry and bright Christmas, and that all of their Christmases are white. The repetition of the title phrase adds emphasis to the longing for a white Christmas filled with joy and happiness. The song seems to be expressing the desire to return to a simpler, happier time - before the stresses of adulthood set in and before the world became more complex. Ultimately, the song is about nostalgia and the desire to recapture happy childhood memories.
