XIA made his debut in 2003 as a member of TVXQ, a boy band produced and formed by South Korean record label and talent agency S.M. Entertainment, having previously been a trainee for six years. He had released four Korean albums, four Japanese albums, thirty Japanese singles and several Korean singles during his first six years in the music industry as TVXQ. In 2009, Kim and fellow TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, arguing that their exclusive contracts were unilaterally disadvantageous towards the artists and should be invalidated. The Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of the three and granted an injunction suspending their contracts. The trio reunited and subsequently formed JYJ (formerly known as JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN in Japan). As JYJ, Kim has released one English album, one Korean album, one Japanese EP, and one Korean EP.
Kim began his solo career in 2010 with the release of Japanese single "Xiah", which peaked at number-two on Japan's Oricon singles chart. The same year, he took the role of Wolfgang in his debut musical Mozart!, receiving critical acclaim and commercial success. After the release of Xiah, Kim's solo music career was sent into hiatus because of a discord between him and his Japanese label Avex Trax that led to the sudden suspension of all his activities in Japan. In May 2012, he released his first full-length Korean solo studio album "Tarantallegra", while being represented by new management agency C-JeS Entertainment. Following the release, he embarked on his first headlining world tour. He returned with his second Korean solo studio album "Incredible", in July 2013.

The lyrics of XIA's song "The Time Is You" express the singer's intense longing and heartache for someone they cannot be with. The first stanza suggests that the singer is unable to see the person they love and that their name is too difficult to say aloud as it causes their heart to ache. The second stanza explains that the singer cannot hold back their emotions any longer and tears flow down their face, reminded of the person they love. The third stanza describes the feeling of being suffocated and how forgetting the person only increases the pain. The heartache is so intense that it feels as though time itself is passing by, represented by the line "time of you flows in my frozen heart." The chorus repeats the idea that the singer cannot forget this person, even as they try to let go: "even if I burn up all the resentments I've had in the past, the longing that can't be contained will spread."
The lyrics of "The Time Is You" capture the universal feeling of heartbreak that many listeners can relate to. The song emphasizes the importance of time and how it can heal or increase the anguish of a broken heart. Additionally, the song's ominous and melancholic tone adds to the sense of loss and longing, making it a moving and emotional listening experience.

@anonymus I mean yeah, these characters specifically did have a sad ending, but like idk- I don’t remember the drama too well and I know that it was a bittersweet ending for the main couple especially so that’s why I said that the ending as a whole is more emotionally draining because I think most people focus on the main couple.
