The band's music is an eclectic mix of genres, including alternative rock, indie rock, and pop. They are known for their energetic and emotional live performances, which are often accompanied by elaborate visuals and lighting.
X Ambassadors' breakthrough came with the release of their debut album, "VHS," in 2015. The album spawned several hit singles, including "Renegades," "Unsteady," and "Jungle," which have collectively amassed over a billion streams on Spotify alone. "VHS" also featured collaborations with other artists, including Imagine Dragons and Jamie N Commons.
One of the band's defining characteristics is their willingness to address personal and social issues through their music. For instance, "Unsteady" is a poignant reflection on the Harris brothers' upbringing with a mother who battled substance abuse, while "Renegades" is a call for rebellion against societal norms.
X Ambassadors have also been vocal advocates for mental health awareness and have worked with organizations like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the JED Foundation. In 2019, they launched their own initiative, the "Joyful Tour," which aimed to destigmatize mental health issues and promote self-care among fans.
In addition to their studio albums, X Ambassadors have released several EPs and singles over the years, showcasing their versatility as a band. They have also collaborated with other artists on various projects, including the soundtrack for the Netflix film "Bright" and the song "Home" with Machine Gun Kelly and Bebe Rexha.

Give me intravenous news, little drips of CNN
Give me meditation apps, text me pictures of your dog
Give me life, give me peace, give me noise
Someone gimme fucking zen
Someone gimme fucking zen
Someone gimme fucking zen
Give me space
At least six feet
Dig my grave just as deep
I got sex on my mind all the time, fuck
Scrolling through the internet time suck
I've been feeling flat like a pancake
I could use a hug or a handshake
I could use some drugs or a Band Aid
Cooped up in a hole I wanna lose all my control
I wanna just go on a rampage
Give me wisdom, give me teeth
Give me vision, let me see
Give me courage to confess
Every night I text my ex
Give me girls
Give me boys
Give me life
Give me peace
Give me noise
Someone gimme fucking zen
Someone gimme fucking zen
Gimme fucking zen
I need something to avoid all of my fears and paranoia
Give me, give me
Someone gimme fucking zen
Gimme an appetite
Gimme hope for the afterlife
Or a reason to look past tonight
Gimme happiness when I found the fame
Gimme music that doesn't all sound the same
Gimme something that I can look forward to
Gimme humans that I can get closer to
You look down at me but the next thing you know it's you
With the rent overdue
Gimme a little bit of piece of your peace of mind
Gimme a piece of yours, you'll get a piece of mine
Gimme something to do when there nothing to do
But when I get it, shit, I'll probably just fuck it up too
Gimme two steps to the left
Gimme one step to the right
Give me one dance with the volume at ten
And someone anyone gimme fucking zen
Someone gimme fucking zen
Gimme fucking zen
I need something to avoid all of my fears and paranoia
Give me, give me
Someone gimme fucking zen
Give me hope for something better
Give me justice for my cries
Tell me we're all in this together
And if we're not then tell me lies
Give me love, give me WiFi
Give me drugs, get me sky high
Gimme headspace, set my head straight
Cut the dead weight, burn the red tape
Give me the good old days from seven days ago
Let me go outside again
Give me life
Give me peace
Give me noise
Someone gimme fucking zen
Someone gimme fucking zen
Gimme fucking zen
I need something to avoid all of my fears and paranoia
Give me, give me
Someone gimme fucking zen
"Zen" is a song by X Ambassadors, K.Flay, and grandson about the desire for inner peace and a break from the chaos of daily life. The opening lyrics reference the need for a variety of distractions in order to maintain mental stability, from groceries and booze to FaceTime calls with friends and little drips of CNN for news. The chorus repeats the plea for zen, emphasizing a need for something to avoid feelings of fear and paranoia.
The song touches on a range of topics that contribute to feelings of anxiety and uncertainty, including the pandemic, social isolation, and political division. The verses mention the longing for physical contact and connection with others, as well as a desire for something to look forward to. The bridge sings about the need for hope and justice, with a plea for love, drugs, headspace, and a return to the good old days.

This is crossover is just as ambitious as avengers endgame
@0dd_ch1ld86
Well yeah, If you think about it. Grandson sings about "Modern Tragedies" (Grandson fans would understand ), X ambassadors are similar to the likes of Imagine Dragons, and K. Flay talks about more personal problems, but it all connects to make this really good song with a combination of Alt-Rock Collaborators I never knew I wanted !
@alikhamis3367
Grandson gets into the worlds problems in a creative way. I love it.
@Arpel21
If you think about it, all Marvel characters belong to Disney, so despite being from different franchises, the movie's crossover value wasn't that impressive
This song, however, was made by a bunch of independent people, and is much more ambitious as a crossover than a big corpo like Disney could ever hope to achieve.
