Roses
Xake Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Xake, Xake, Xake, Xake
Roses on the side, skating take a ride
Don't ask for a collab, I can only deny
Roses on my shoes, releasing it soon
We're just friends, but I still get the "oohs"
False friends for the fame, John 15:13 yeah the saint
I'm out here with this stuff, that I made
But, people don't believe that I made it
Proud of myself that I made it
Roses on the side, skating take a ride
Don't ask for a collab, I can only deny
Roses on my shoes, releasing it soon
We're just friends, but I still get the "oohs"
False friends for the fame, John 15:13 yeah the saint
I'm out here with this stuff, that I made
But, people don't believe that I made it
Proud of myself that I made it

Pretty sight, Bright lights,
Wanna be remembered, when I die
Midnight, I don't mind
I don't lie, (I don't, I don't)
Pretty sight, Bright lights,
Wanna be remembered, when I die
Midnight, I don't mind
I don't lie, (I don't lie)
Pretty sight, Bright lights,
Wanna be remembered, when I die
Midnight, I don't mind
I don't lie, (I don't, I don't)
Pretty sight, Bright lights,
Wanna be remembered, when I die
Midnight, I don't mind
I don't lie, (I don't)

Roses on the side, skating take a ride
Don't ask for a collab, I can only deny
Roses on my shoes, releasing it soon
We're just friends, but I still get the "oohs"
False friends for the fame, John 15:13 yeah the saint
I'm out here with this stuff, that I made
But, people don't believe that I made it
Proud of myself that I made it
Roses on the side, skating take a ride

Roses on my shoes, releasing it soon
We're just friends, but I still get the "oohs"
False friends for the fame, John 15:13 yeah the saint

Overall Meaning

The song 'Roses' seems to be a reflection of Xake's life and his journey as a musician. The lyrics depict him as someone who has made music on his own, felt proud of his creations, and is fiercely protective of his art. He talks about how people don't believe he made the music he has created, and how he has false friends who are only interested in fame.

The song appears to be a commentary on the music industry, where artists often have to fight to get their music heard, and even when they do, people tend not to believe they created it. Additionally, false friends who are only interested in fame can be a common issue for artists, so Xake could be hinting at the fact that the people he surrounds himself with value him only for what he can give them in terms of popularity.

The chorus of the song talks about how he wants to be remembered when he dies, which could be interpreted as an artist's desire to create something that will resonate with people beyond their lifetime. Overall, the song appears to be an introspective reflection on Xake's journey as an artist.

I was unable to listen to this vid, so I just watched it. I could tell that I was going to learn a lot more about piping roses on a nail on this video than all of the other ones I've watched. I'm just a beginner, and I need tips on how to start the rose, especially.

I like the placement of the petals in your presentation best, too.

👍👍👍

@CakeDecoratingSchool
