Their sophomore EP Everything is Shifting came out in 2005, and their new studio release, Flashlights was released on January 23, 2007 and is currently available for free download from the band's official MySpace profile, and their website. While Y O U itself is a rock band, it occasionally makes "pseudonymous" appearances playing Europop. The members also made the film The Flying Wallabies, a short mockumentary about jump roping.

Based in Atlanta, GA, Y O U worked with The Brothers Chaps on Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits and the karaoke tracks on strongbad_email.exe. The Chapmans, in return, animated a music video for Y O U from their song "LA Lindsay." The song Trogdor, for which Y O U provided the instrumentation, appears in the video game Guitar Hero 2.

In December 2006, Y O U was selected out of over 1,700 artists as one of the Top 25 Best Bands on MySpace by Rolling Stone Magazine.
