In Yama Buddha's song "Challenge", the rapper challenges the government, the systems and laws of the country, the corrupt officials and the society as a whole. He talks about his frustration with the current state of affairs in Nepal and his desire to change things for the better. The lyrics are filled with powerful imagery, metaphors, and allusions that highlight the grim reality of corruption, injustice and the need for a revolution.
The first part of the song refers to the last words of the rapper's father, who devoted his mind and body to the country. The following lines talk about the frustration and despair of the rapper regarding the state of the country, with soldiers getting martyrdom and traitors being rewarded with shrouds, and the oath of his mother's broken bangle which represents the broken promises of the Nepali government. Next, the rapper explains that he is ready to fight and die for his country and his people, and that he will not tolerate injustice or corruption. He is angered by the selfishness of people, the misuse of power, and the destruction of society as a whole. Finally, he declares that he is willing to fight the system and its rules, the corrupt politicians, and anyone who stands in his way to a better future for Nepal.
