Happy People
Yazoo Lyrics
Take no notice 'Cause I'm just the same
There's a thousand other faces with the very same name
And we look like each other, and we all live together.
We talk about the same things
And we never try and change things.
[Chorus]
We're the happy, happy people
We never give opinions and we never state views
And if you want to join us, you can follow on behind us.
You can talk about your visions
You can make some big decisions.
[Chorus]
We believe in having fun and smiling all the time
And sometimes we're on tv if we're over 69
And when we have a raffle, then it's just a big reshuffle.
It's a democratic poll
But we're the ones who are in control.
[Chorus]

Shortly after the release of the second album, Moyet and Clarke decided to break up. Moyet pursued a solo career while Clarke first founded (the short lived) The Assembly followed by the successful Erasure.
Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet briefly reunited in 2008 and toured Europe and the United States as Yazoo for the first time in twenty-five years. Also in 2008, their record company issued a 4-disc box set called In Your Room; containing remastered editions of both of their original albums, a disc of b-sides and remixes (imaginitively titled B-Sides and Remixes) and a DVD containing promotional videos, interviews etc.

I can`t understand why this wonderful song has so little views. For me this is masterpiece.

Probably because it's complete trash, was looking for another song and found this, wtf is this, why does this even exist, I'm willing to buy every copy ever made purely to put in a pile and burn, assuming every copy would cost a total of $23.50

Well I mean it makes sense. Some great lines in here. "We just talk about the same things and we never try and change things." That sentence stuck out for me. Nobody listens, especially in politics. As someone who is personally very frustrated with our leadership in America, I was shocked when Trump was elected. But nobody seemed to notice his several digs towards women, African americans, mexicans, or, frankly, anyone else. He had everything handed to him by his daddy and he threw it all away. He came from the Apprentice ffs! So the message here is, we are a blinded nation. Either that or we are the laziest country on the Earth. His wrongdoings are just as much his fault as it is ours, as is the way of our system. I hate to get political but that's what you get when you have a world of "happy people": chaos. Yin and yang. And so, once again, this is a message to take the time to do your research. Please and thank you.
