Yeasayer released their second studio album, Odd Blood, in February 2010, featuring more pop music influences than earlier work. The band revealed that the album came out of a massive acid trip in New Zealand. Peter Gabriel’s drummer Jerry Marotta helped to record Odd Blood in an upstate New York studio packed with rare synths and percussion instruments from around the globe to create the characteristic worldbeat sound of the album.
Yeasayer released their third studio album, Fragrant World, in August 2012. According to the Fingers Never Bleed Songfacts, it was named after a track that didn't make the new album's final cut.
Yeasayer officially announced its dissolution on December 19, 2019.
No Need To Worry
Yeasayer Lyrics

Run 'way from your grave
Father set our house to flame
Please his new family
Brother won't you steal away?
Dreams of night a play
Father set our house ablaze
Blackened stones, I beg you speak
of the murderous hand
Words will never sound again
on this shadowland
Blackened sky, I beg you weep
What the day has lost
No one left to weep for us
No need to worry
We'll get some jewelry for your momma
The lyrics of Yeasayer's song "No Need To Worry" depict the story of a family that has been torn apart due to the actions of an abusive and controlling father. The opening lines describe a sister being urged to run away with her brother and leave behind their burning home, as their father has set it on fire to please his new family. The siblings are left only with blackened stones that bear witness to the destruction, and they plead to them to speak of the horrors that have occurred.
The song then shifts to a mournful reflection on the aftermath of the tragedy. The blackened sky is called upon to weep for the loss that the day has brought, with no one left to mourn. Finally, the song ends with a darkly ironic line that adds an unsettling twist to the story - "No need to worry, we'll get some jewelry for your momma." This seemingly flippant remark highlights the disconnect between the family's tragedy and the shallow values of material possessions that continue to exist in the world around them.
Overall, "No Need To Worry" is a haunting and poetic exploration of the lasting impact of trauma, and the struggle to find meaning and hope in the face of overwhelming darkness.
