The 31-year-old Daniela Bauer alias Yela was born in Vienna and lives in New York. The talented musician was awarded a scholarship at the prestigious “Berklee College of Music” in Boston, where she studied voice and music therapy. It was followed by numerous international performances – including the multiple Grammy nominee Musiq Soulchild. Yela is an all-rounder with a great voice who writes and composes her own songs.
Yela will be one of the five participants in Austria's national final to represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Mälmo. "Already as a child, I've often fantasized about being one of the musicians on the Eurovision Song Contest stage. It would be a great honour for me to represent Austria", she confesses.
