I had water puncture my left eardrum years ago. Unfortunately, the eardrum does not always heal. I had a hole in mine for about 2 years, and it was kinda cool.

I got really lucky and avoided all hearing damage or ear infections, but I could breathe through my left ear if I wanted to, which was pretty cool.

I see some comments saying they heard some distortion, and it must be because they punctured the eardrum, but no way. At least in my case, that was the most painful experience of my life. I spent the next hour after it happened, grabbing my ear and neck and trying not to cry haha

I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember and it affects me everyday yet I never speak about it because i don't like making a victim out of myself. I had to learn to accept the fact that when it's silent my ears are gonna ring. During exams it's hard for me to focus because when the whole room goes silent there ironically is no silence, it sucks and I try not to think or talk about it but I'm really suffering from this shit. I'll ask myself why I have issues but forget that not everyone has a constant static ring in their ears.
