Yellow Wood Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Accidents out on the highway to somewhere
They tell us about when we were young
Rescuers working to clean up the crashes
Before she can see what they've done
Nobody told her she'd lose in the first round
The last fight was fixed from the start
Name's on her side walks
They move through her body
Like razors they cut through her heart
Like razors they cut through her heart

[Chorus]

Hey let go
Of all you know
And get fired away now
What have you got to lose
And say out loud
These words I found
I'll be back when you come down
I'll be waiting for you

The night life
The high life
She just wants a good life
So someone remembers her too
But somewhere she heard there was some place to go when
You die when you live like we do
Die when you live like we do

[Chorus repeat]
[First verse background]

Overall Meaning

The first verse of Yellow Wood’s song “Accidents” describes the aftermath of a car accident on the highway, recounting that the rescuers are working to clean up the wreckage before a woman can see what has happened. The description of the accident is then juxtaposed with the personal struggles of the woman, whose name is etched on sidewalks as she navigates through the difficulties of life. The line, “nobody told her she’d lose in the first round, the last fight was fixed from the start,” suggests that she may feel defeated by the circumstances she’s been dealt, and that she’s fighting a losing battle.

The chorus of the song encourages the listener to let go of what they know and to surrender themselves to the unknown, offering the possibility of a new life that is waiting for them. The lyric, “what have you got to lose,” is a call to action, urging the listener to take a chance and try something different. The second verse touches on the woman’s desire for a good life, and it’s clear that she is aware of a certain recklessness that comes with living life on the edge. At the same time, the lyric speaks to a deep longing for something more, perhaps a sense of purpose or recognition. The repeated refrain of “I’ll be waiting for you,” seems to suggest that there is someone, or something, that is waiting to receive her.

It turns out that "Clé 2: Yellow Wood" will be a repackaged album. There are only 3 new songs plus all the mixtapes they've released previously on their albums:

1. The Road Not Taken
2. Side Effects (title track I believe)
3. Star's thoughts
4. Mixtape #1
5. Mixtape #2
6. Mixtape #3
7. Mixtape #4

And As always, 3RACHA has participated producing all of the songs. The album comes out on June 19 but I'm not sure what the time is.

We're getting deeper into their story now like omg just look at this trailer. I can say that it connects with Miroh, definitely. In fact, I think they're going even BEFORE Miroh! They went into that elevator and they seemed to have just arrived at that same place, but in the morning, while it was night in the Miroh MV.

Now, let's go back in time. They're going back to the beginning because you know, Hellevator? They're on an elevator, ofc, and it's possibly the same one as the one in the Hellevator MV, but instead of going up, they're going down...there's definitely something going on around here. The possibility here is that you know at first how they were brought up from the bottom of "hell" and went up to finally be able to follow their own path and achieve dreams (in Hellevator), but now they're going back down and failing their challenges or something, taking the road that is "uncommon" which is found in "The Road Not Taken" poem.

Now, you know how Chan has a key with him? He uses that key and turns it to the left which shows NOTHING, and that's how they're lead to that "uncommon" path or road. And, I found this on Twitter that someone found and it shows that the Hellevator photo shows the city mirrored upside down to the city in this trailer. This definitely relates to the very beginning, back to Hellevator. I also found that when you turn the "Yellow Wood" logo upside down, you can see the word "hell," which in fact makes you clearly think of Hellevator. I literally thought of this also: Yellevator. LOL it's so funny but I like the thought of it.

Okay, now take a look closely at the photos that show their tracklist. You can see a Stray Kids member, right? Well, probably even more than one...but who could they be? Hmmm...some people think it's Chan. Some Minho. And I found one where someone found one of them to actually be Hyunjin. Tbh, it's really hard to look through it, so I don't know about the others. OMG, another thing...I took someone's theory and formed my own theory out of it. You know how YW? It does in fact mean 'Yellow Wood,' and when you go back to the pre-debut era, to the BEGINNING, it also means 'Young Wings.' BACK TO THE BEGINNING.

Y'all...you know, there's even more than just that, but I'll be done here for now. This isn't even close to all of it yet! I'm just so interested in this and I really love reading theories! It's so interesting! I honestly can't wait for this comeback and get deeper into these theories and their story! Wow, Stray Kids is blowing my mind right now! So are these theories! I'll be fighting with them with this comeback like I did with all their other comebacks! And, like before and always, they deserve a win and award! Let's work hard together, STAYs! They worked so hard for this! STAY X SKZ fighting!✊
