I am an 85 year old Vietnam combat veteran with two purple hearts. This is the best combat movie I have ever seen. The actors are great and so very realistic. Give my respects to all that were involved in this movie, it is great. These soldiers are so true to life I would have liked to have them assigned to my unit in combat, I know it's only a movie but it's so true to life, thank you.

I have to admit it didn't sound like my type of war film, and I'd be flipping it off after 10 minutes. Two hours later, I am writing to tell you it is one of the better contemporary sandbox stories I have ever seen. It certainly deserves all the accolades given before mine. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Not what I'd expected. After a Decade in the Military I usually don't watch too many War flicks...brings up old feelings about the Gulf War I wanna forget and usually all the directors and producers care about is gore n sensational scenes. But this was so honestly about the characters , the brotherhood, n the Honor of the men. And from UAE perspective. Good to see them as the Heroes of the tale. War is a horrible , horrible thing. I wouldn't recommend it. And Although I'm proud of my service I wouldn't want to go back. But this was a film that did the soldiers justice. Well Done.

Hey brother I'm with you about not watching war movies. 1969/70 Vietnam vet, this was a great film and I can't begin to tell you how scared to death I was after being caught in 2 ambushes. War is a horrible thing and anyone who thinks its cool has no idea what he's talking about. You never forget and I still have nightmares after 50 years.

My boyfriend and I just finished this movie, and I got to say WOW. I could not stop crying. My Boyfriend couldn't take his eyes off the screen. I thought I was actually in the movie Myself. I am so impressed by the respect each of the Soldiers give the meaning of life . They never gave up on any of themselves. When given up seemed like the only option left, the other would step in and remind each other. Giving up wasn't an option AT ALL. The best depiction of modern Middle East combat that I’ve seen. As an old vet myself, I rarely watch stuff that hits this close to home. But I was intrigued at seeing an Arabic-only depiction. If this is accurate, I am seriously impressed with the UAE troops! Very professionally fought battle in nightmare situation.

1) Apachies generally travel in teams of 2-3 whenever possible. 2) The only tacticle mistake was not calling for the Apache(s) right away so it/they got there before the QRF team. It/they could have taken out the morter teams and possibly prevented the mines from getting planted. Other than that the film was very well done; 28 yrs in the US Army.

OUTSTANDING! As combat movies go, I'd rate the realism of this one right up there with "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down." Exceptional writing, acting and dubbing, this movie draws you into the characters and their lives and their plight and doesn't let go. As a U.S. Marine Corps 0311 in Nam, 1969-1970 , been there, done that. 24 years service in USMC/USAF/and ARNG. I have never cried for an Arab, but I did for Alli and his men, and gave a very slow, respectful Salute to them all at the Funeral. Such brave men and great fighters ! May God bless the UAE and it's defenders ! HOO-RAH !!! May you all get home okay, to your wives ,children and families .(Staff Sgt.,Ret., )

Its incredibly unrealistic, the mortars would have killed them all, the Emiratis would have either been forced to surrender or be killed. But this is a propaganda movie, nothing else.
Irl, the houthis would literally send 4 or 5 missiles to their base in Al Mocha which is very close to the frontlines and destroyed the command and control of the invading forces.

Great movie! Just another reminder that war is a horrible thing. Everybody loses! A necessary evil to fight for freedom but it takes great loses to achieve it. The families are left behind to pick up the pieces.

Actually, in real life, the United Arab Emirates used a lot of foreign mercenaries for their war against the Houthi of Yemen. It was exactly to save the lives of their own citizens, the foreign mercenaries taking the brunt of the casualties.

Very tense. Very emotional. Many questions:
1) Why was the UAV over-watch deployed so late?
2) Why was the Apache deployed so late and pulled back like it was. There were other options.
3) A10 warthogs provide better and faster ground-support than Apaches, better armed and less susceptible to RPG ground fire.

I enjoyed the movie! Good acting and definitely PLENTY OF ACTION!!! I didn't mind the dubbing! At first, I wasn't sure I'd watch the whole thing!! I feel the director did a GOOD JOB showing what MODERN WARFARE is like and how an enemy can SUCK YOU IN in order to inflict MAXIMUM CASUALTIES!!! Fighting in that mountainous terrain makes it HARDER to deal with because of all the possible hiding places to for the ENEMY TO HAVE A WELL PLANNED "AMBUSH"!!!😮😢😢

Amazing movie. They captured the real love that you feel when you serve with your brothers and sisters down range. You do anything and everything that needs to be done to make for dam sure everyone makes it back. You move heaven and earth. HOOAH ……

30 mins in and you can already tell this is a different breed of film. Excellent camera work, effects and acting (if you do yourself the favor of watching it in the original Arabic, the dub is sort of awkward)

Nobody trained in military tactics would have just sat inside a disabled vehicle to be "lambs for the slaughter"!
Get out and set up a defensive perimeter ASAP.

Well, that was a three-popcorn-bowls film (medium-sized bowls). Liked the plot, enjoyed the acting and action scenes. Director did an excellent job; film editing got it right. Worth your time guys.
