Being that they have always been their own writers and producers, each project shows constant progression.
As “Young Duece”, the two have shared stages with acts such as Mac Miller, Curren$y, Nappy Roots, Afroman, Aer and more. Their work has even been acknowledged by Hip-Hop legends, having been featured on Talib Kweli’s “Blacksmith Community Mixtape” (Hosted by DJ Mick Boogie) and Zion-I’s “The Search and The Seizure” mixtape after AmpLive heard the song made to his remix of Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi”, which was on his popular Rainydayz Remixes album.
In a span of only four years, the work of this group has been witnessed by millions. More than nine million on YouTube alone. Popular remixes such as Owl City’s “Fireflies”, T-Pain’s “Everybody Else”, Ludacris’ “How Low Can You Go”, Gucci Mane’s “Lemonade”, 50 Cent’s “Do You Think About Me”, Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” and most viewed, instrumental remix of LMFAO’s “La La La” have allowed the duo to receive large amounts of hits with no professional promotion, management, nor funding. Aside from this, much credit is given to YouTube sensation TimothyDeLaGhetto, for whom they executive produced an entire album entitled “Rush Hour”.
The guys continue create music for themselves and others under their production alias ”Nu Theory“. Whether performing their own material or composing for other artists and producers, to “make music for a living” is their only goal.
Impossible
Young Duece Lyrics

They've been waitin',
Some steady hatin',
Why they debatin'?
Man I don't really understand,
They can't do it like I can (4x)
They wanna stop them,
But that's impossible,
We keep it movin' to the end,
They can't do it like I can (4x)
Verse 1 (Flow)
And they know me,
Same ol dude, same ol G,
I make my moves, stay low key,
Care less if another wanna hate on me,
I do what I do so graciously,
Your mazes ain't amazin' me,
I got a new agenda, winner's circle where my stable be,
So watch us as we take the game and keep the losers down,
I leave my food around,
For when my crew's around,
Keep an eye on who's around and everybody you surround,
Some wanna play you funny,
They're thinking you're a clown,
We all want number one, but there's too many teams,
They'll come and take you out,
If you're gettin' too many rings,
But I'm still stocking, like Sonic,
I keep it runnin', like engines,
You're getting gassed, and your friends just keep on pumpin',
Ain't it somethin'?
No matter what, there's someone who don't know you,
Never met you, disrespect you,
And they sure don't care to let you be,
Especially the special needs, lames with the extra E's,
That I don't even care to please,
Gone and leave a message, "beep"
[Chorus:]
Verse 2 (Pj)
I do me, nobody does cause I do it better,
I go my hardest, make others sound retarded,
Regardless of what they create, and put into the market,
Artists say that they're hungry,
I feel like I am starving,
So,
I keep on doing me, exactly what I told you so,
You think I would just lie to you?
Forget what yall done heard before,
The truth is just so versatile,
I keep moving up, so vertical,
The things I do are impossible,
So I am too preservable,
I'm M. I. A., these papers planes can't get to me with herbal,
Quit all these rhyming words, it's time to get the realness,
On that bull? I guess Pippen wasn't feelin' it,
Well... I guess it's time to be the realest then,
Every since a little kid, lames wanna see me fail,
Never seen my dreams big,
So I had to show and tell,
And let the whole World know...
I'm not coming to America,
I'm coming on to it, and letting my soul glow
[Chorus:]
In "Impossible," Young Duece and Pj address the haters who have been waiting for their downfall. They wonder why their success seems to create such debate even though they work hard and stay true to themselves. The chorus repeats the phrase "They can't do it like I can," which serves as a sign of assurance and confidence. In verse one, Flow raps about his steady presence and distinct qualities in the industry. He focuses on creating a new agenda and building a winner's circle, but also acknowledges that there are people who aren't genuine and will try to tear him down. He finishes the verse with the line, "Especially the special needs, lames with the extra E's, that I don't even care to please," which may symbolize those who constantly need validation and criticize others.
In verse two, Pj emphasizes that he does what he does better than anyone else and that he is unstoppable. He mentions how he's hungry for success and how he's been doubted since childhood, but remains persistent. Pj recognizes that he's creating something that others deem to be impossible, which makes him more resilient. He ends the verse with the line, "I'm not coming to America, I'm coming on to it, and letting my soul glow," which serves as a nod to the film Coming to America and also as a declaration that he's making his mark on the world.
The hook in "Impossible" serves as a reminder that despite the challenges and naysayers, Young Duece and Pj are confident in their abilities and will continue to rise to the top. The song has a strong message of perseverance and staying true to oneself.
