Of term of snowing
Don't need that nasty weather for I'm
Despise there's no reclining,
I wish I was on the road
I understand why ? for L.A.
Old in this cold
I feel such isolation, I'm feeling so alone
Please take me to your ?
Whoa, I don't want to grow
Old in this cold
Whoa, I don't want
Whoa, oh oho
Live for LA., live for L.A.
I've seen the way, seen the ? seen the way
I wanna go, wanna go
I've seen the way, seen the ? seen the way
Please take me to the ? please take me somewhere
Please take me to the ?
Whoa, I don't want to grow
Old in this cold
Whoa, I don't want
Whoa, oh oho
Live for LA., live for L.A.
The lyrics to Yukon Blonde's "For LA" express a desire to leave a place of isolation and cold weather for the glamour and excitement of Los Angeles. The opening lines, "I don't come from the wasteland / Of term of snowing / Don't need that nasty weather for I'm," set the scene for the singer's discontent with their current location. They reject the harshness of the winter landscape and seek a more temperate climate.
The chorus emphasizes this theme of escape from the cold, as the singer declares, "Whoa, I don't want to grow / Old in this cold / I feel such isolation, I'm feeling so alone" and pleads to be taken away to a place where they won't have to endure the same conditions. The repetition of the phrase "live for L.A." reinforces the idea that this city represents a more desirable way of life.
In the second verse, the singer references having seen "the way" and wants to go there. The repeated line, "Please take me to the _____," suggests that the singer could be addressing a specific person or place, but the blank line leaves it open to interpretation. This ambiguity could represent the open-ended possibilities and unknown adventures that await in Los Angeles.
Overall, "For LA" expresses a longing for a more exciting, fulfilling life away from the drudgery and isolation of a cold, desolate place.
