Yukon Blonde Lyrics

I'm into you
And we've been talking all night
My lips are sealed
I said a ton
So you should shine that bright light
The silver's old
And the wait is all night
You stare at me
You say a ton
But the words don't fit right
Girl you oughtta know
That we'd wait out in the sun
Darlin'
Oh
You gotta a heart
That couldn't waste anymore
And you oughtta know
That you are so cold
Into the dark
We will go
Your cold green eyes
Are givin' me nothing
I can chew
And you can scream your heart out
'Cause it's everything you do
Girl you know do it too
Girl you oughtta know
That we'd wait out in the sun
Darlin'
Oh
You gotta a heart
That couldn't waste anymore
And you oughtta know
That you are so cold
Into the dark
We will go
The lyrics to Yukon Blonde's song Radio present a complicated love story with a lot left unsaid. The singer of the song has been talking to the subject of the song all night, but clearly there is some sort of communication issue as both parties have "said a ton" but "the words don't fit right." The singer is enamored with the subject ("I'm into you"), but the subject's "cold green eyes" are "givin' [the singer] nothing [they] can chew."
Despite these difficulties, there is a sense of determination in the chorus. The singer urges the subject to recognize that "you got a heart that couldn't waste anymore" and that despite their communication issues, they are willing to go "into the dark." There is an acknowledgment of the subject's complexity ("you know do it too") and an overall acceptance of the difficult nature of their relationship. The lyrics to Radio ultimately convey a sense of hope and dedication, despite the obstacles in the singer and subject's way.
