1) Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai (born 14 November 1986 in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia), professionally known as Yuna, is an acoustic/alternative/pop singer-songwriter originating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is now based in Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles, US. She began making a mark for herself in the local independent scene in 2007, before releasing her demo in February 2008. Her debut EP, Yuna EP, was released in October 2008. Her debut album was finally released in July 2010, titled Decorate.
Yuna has been cementing herself in the local scene with complementary comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Rachael Yamagata. Her influences include Fiona Apple, Feist, Lykke Li, Sia, Bob Dylan and The Cardigans. Yuna describes her music as "a cross between Mary Poppins and Coldplay".
One of the first few people who expressed interest in her music was Farhan Fadzlishah aka Pa'an (Telephony Delivery), who later became her supporting guitarist. Along the way, Efry Arwis (Lightcraft) helped her with the bass while Adib handled the drums. Adil Ali (Seven Collar T-shirt) replaced Adib after the latter quit to concentrate on his drumming role in Oh Chentaku.
Yuna was eventually discovered in the US by the Indie-Pop record label and management company. They flew out to Malaysia to convince her to sign with them and then proceeded to get her a deal with Fader Label, a record label based in New York, in February 2011. She released her debut US EP, Decorate - EP, in the United States in March the same year. In February 2012, Yuna released her second Malaysian full-length album, Terukir Di Bintang. Her self-titled US full-length album, Yuna, was released on April 24, 2012.

They calling me out to play
Got a feeling I'm gonna win it
They think that I don't have game
I know before I've had a few falls
I've got dirt all of my face
Baby today I'm gonna win it
You gonna remember my name
You gonna remember my name
I've got a feeling
You gonna remember my name
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
I know
You gonna remember my name
I am sensed a storm is coming
They calling you out to play
And when you can feel
Your heart is racing
You keeping up with the pace
And even though you have failed before
You know you will find the way
Baby today you gonna win it
They gonna remember your name
They gonna remember your name
You gonna remember my name
I've got a feeling
You gonna remember my name
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
I know
You gonna remember my name
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
Are you gonna bring me down
Trying to bring me down again
I know
You gonna remember my name
The lyrics of "Remember My Name" by Yuna are all about empowerment and taking control of your own destiny. The opening lines "I am sensing that a storm is coming / They calling me out to play" set the stage for a challenge or imminent obstacle that the singer is ready to face head-on. Despite any previous setbacks or failures alluded to in the lines "I know before I've had a few falls / I've got dirt all of my face," the singer remains confident that they will emerge victorious with the repeated refrain "You gonna remember my name" serving as a statement of determination and resilience.
The lines "Are you gonna bring me down / Trying to bring me down again" suggest that others may be trying to dampen the singer's spirits or success, but the message is clear that the singer is not to be deterred. The second verse takes a similar approach, but this time the focus is on the listener. The singer implores the listener to also embrace their own strength and rise to the challenge. Lines such as "And when you can feel / Your heart is racing" and "even though you have failed before / You know you will find the way" speak to the universality of the human experience and the idea that everyone faces obstacles, but it's important to keep moving forward and pushing beyond them.
Overall, "Remember My Name" is a song that celebrates individual strength and persistence, encouraging listeners to stay true to themselves and strive to be remembered for all that they are capable of achieving.
