Only 20, Yuridia has become one of the highest selling artists in Mexico. Her debut album (consisting of songs that she interpreted during the contest) has reached the diamond selling category (for over 700,000 copies sold), a feat only achieved in the last 10 years by solo artist Luis Miguel, as well as the music group RBD. Not only has she become the highest selling artist to come out of the reality-tv talent show, but her powerful strong chest and head voice, along with her wide mezzosoprano vocal range, have earned her the nickname Voz de un Angel (Voice of an Angel). She is considered to be among the best female voices in Mexico since the 80s (when brilliant artists such as Lupita D'alessio, Dulce and Yuri were top stars in the Mexican scene).
In late September of 2006, her record company, Sony BMG, announced the release of Yuridia's new Album, titled Habla El Corazon, which will feature English covers of well-known artists such as Bonnie Tyler and the The Police. "Como yo", and "Habla el corazón" (covers from Bon Jovi and Roxette) were among the singles released from the CD.

The lyrics of Yuridia's "No Sabía" portray the emotions of a person who is lamenting the loss of their love, and they are struggling to accept the harsh reality of it. The lyrics indicate that the singer was caught unaware by destiny, when suddenly everything they had with their loved one was taken away from them. Their once-happy relationship has now been erased from the book of their life, leaving them with pain, regret, and a shattered heart.
As the lyrics progress, the singer realizes that their relationship was already deteriorating, although they didn't think they would be the one to lose out in the end. They didn't expect their love to leave so soon, and they're in disbelief that they couldn't see that the end was near. The singer is struggling with the thought that their partner has chosen another path in life, and that everything has changed. Even their place in their lover's life is lost, and they are unable to call out their lover's name.
The lyrics of the song reflect on the stages of grief that we go through when we lose someone dear, especially someone we love. It captures the pain that comes with the realization that the person who was once the center of our world is no longer there, no matter how suddenly or gradually they left.
