The band are signed to Brisbane record label Dew Process, under which they re-released their debut EP Yves Klein Blue Draw Attention to Themselves. Yves Klein Blue have supported a number of local and international acts, including The Fratellis, The Living End, Ben Kweller, You Am I and The Grates, as well as enjoying slots at Big Day Out 2008, SxSW 2008, Pyramid Rock Festival 08 and Splendour in the Grass 2008. Their debut album, Ragged & Ecstatic, was released in Australia & New Zealand in July 2009.

On January 31 2011, Fasterlouder announced they had officially broken up in the second half of 2010.

The band's name is taken from the colour International Klein Blue by Yves Klein.

Instantly, I can tell that his voice has a higher thread count, with a smooth timbre and a lotion like flow through my ears. It also sounds like it may have a higher quality cotton, with soft stops and round inflections. I think I would be more comfortable with his speech, having a percale weave vocabulary and long fibered sentences.

This guy had the most relaxing, ASMR inducing voice and he had such interesting information and commentary about the fabrics and how they were made. I love hearing a real expert talk about their subject matter, these are things that most of us take for granted or never even think about when it comes to sheets, I just love these types of videos!

This video was amazing! I appreciate quality sheets and Leo did a phenomenal job walking us through all the elements that make up this. Also, as the last thing I am watching before bed, it was beautiful ASMR. I wish he had his own channel, so I could duck over and listen some more. Honestly, I could play this on repeat, it's that relaxing.

Great video. The only part missing was how long should you expect a high quality bed sheets to last. We had mid-priced cotton satin sheets that lasted around 8 years and I don't know if that's a good or bad result.

My favorite sheets were 300 thread count cotton. I had higher before and they were so tightly woven that they didn't breathe even though they were cotton. I hated them, they might as well have been plastic bags they were so sweaty.

My favorite set cost $50 at Home Goods. If I spent $300 on sheets I wouldn't be able to sleep at night!

No wonder his voice and calm nature are so evident. He probably slept in silk all his life, being that his family is in the bedding business. He was so informative, articulate and passionate about bedding that it caused me envision myself selling bedsheets as a sale representative. Got me thinking how successful I could be. The school system needs lessons from great content creators.

I have three sheet sets. My first is synthetic and then I bought a 100% cotton. I just acquired on sale an Egyptian Cotton set and it really does make a difference. Its subtle (between the two cottons) but the latter set is just slightly softer and has a nicer luster to it.

I wasn't sure how detailed this would get, and was pleasantly surprised.
I would love to have a couple of hours with this guy, just strolling thru a few linen/fabric/textiles stores. I'd love to learn about all the little details and just geek out for a while...his voice and mannerisms are so calming I could listen to him all day!

The best sheets I ever bought were a blend of silk and Pima cotton. Also, Tencel sheets made out of eucalyptus trees are very soft and cooling to the touch in the summer.

It makes such a difference. My fiancé had a hard and fast stance that polyester "fleece" was superior for sleeping. This was man that was always hot when he slept. He also had no idea that microfiber and cotton were any different.

I introduced him to cotton and he slept like a baby for the rest of his days.

Thank you. I learned a lot from this video. Presenter was very qualified and enjoyable. It certainly makes me wish I could touch all the sheets before buying them. Unfortunately, you cannot find all the qualities and fabrics for sale in any one market place, nor can you get up close and personal with them as he was able to do. The fact that he, a knowledgeable textile expert, was surprised by pricing tells me that we are fooled by price when buying sheets. I think someone should open a textiles only store with textile expert staff that can offer full service assistance in selecting sheets. I hate being at the mercy of gimmicks and limited availability.

This certainly is informative (though I knew almost all of this already), but I cannot understand the current mania for linen sheets, duvet covers and so on. I find linen much rougher than cotton and can't imagine wanting to have it close to my skin – even with a top sheet between me and the linen bedding. The colors I've seen tend to be lovely, but like linen clothing (which I never buy without a lining), the bedding is rough and stiff. Very frustrating, because I really want to replace my beloved cotton duvet cover.

We used to manufacture high quality sheets here too. Dominion Textile, Domtex, was one of the biggest manufacturers of bedding and it had 14,000 employees and factories in Canada, the United States, Ireland, France, Italy and Tunisia. A leader in a number of areas, it became the world's largest producer of denim. I still have some Wabasso sheets.

Now it's gone, along with hundreds of thousands of other good manufacturing jobs.

I still like this old "fleece" blanket I got about 15 years ago that's totally synthetic, getting a little pilly, but is warm AF. It couldn't have cost more than $20. I feel like it still has an easy decade left in it. How long do those $500 linen sheets last? It better be close to 1000 years to justify the cost. I sleep like a papoose with plebeian flannel bedding that cost well under $100.

helpful hint on how to decide what threadcount you should get, a lower count is more suitable when its hot as it allows more air to come through and a higher count is more suitable when its cold as it holds more heat in.

I have jacquard woven sheets for winter and very fine light gossimer sheets for summer, and mostly just 300 count cotton and Lots of Different Bold colour choices that mix and match quite nicely with my hand made quilt and bedding.

You can’t always tell the quality by thread count. Plus, the higher the thread count the more slippery the sheets are. Some of us like some traction to enable movement without sliding off the bed.

I was always about high thread count sheets, then linen, however, once I discovered bamboo sheets I was hooked. They are the most comfortable ever. A similar price to good linen sheets but much softer :)

I actually love cheap microfiber sheets that get hot at night, because I always get cold while I sleep. The tight weave also works well with my cat who likes to try and claw them up.

I invested in a set of 180 thread count cotton bedding, I’m now totally spoilt and can never return to my old (cheap) sheets. High quality bed linen is so worth the investment . Not only does it feel wonderful, it looks so much crisper, it has a lovely ‘rustle’ and if you take time to iron it, you feel like a princess, and my bedding isn’t even high end! Some really good quality, expensive bedding with a high thread count is on my bucket list now.
