Zack was born in Springfield, Missouri and grew up in the sweltering heat of Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. When the time came, he moved back to Springfield to attend Southwest Missouri State University where he studied Musical Theatre Performance and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
After working in the Doom and Quake mod scenes for several years, Zachary Quarles was hired in 2000 by Wisconsin-based developer Raven Software. While at Raven, Zack worked on titles such as: Star Trek: Elite Force, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, Soldier of Fortune II, X-Men: Legends, X-Men: Legends II, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Quake 4.
In 2006, Zack picked up stakes and moved to Chicago to accept the position of studio audio director for Day 1 Studios. In this position he interacted with the programming staff to incorporate audio within the proprietary Day 1 engine and tool suite, oversaw the audio "vision" for every title, worked with in-house sound personnel, created loads of content, worked with contractors, planned out work schedules and budget requirements, and generally went insane.
In 2009, he was approached by id Software to head up the audio for the latest incarnation in the Doom franchise.
Zachary also works on a freelance basis in the theatrical, multimedia, and film realms with his company Changeling Sound Studios. With Changeling, he provides original music, sound effect design, and his own personal projects.

@psychoraptoronepiece9910
its sad, whenever people get desperate instead of admitting failure, they do crazy evil things. makes me not want to get desperate and make sure to keep myself in check even in the face of failure
@johnl.7754
I wonder if the fact that he raised that much money helped him in getting some of the significant roles that he got towards the end.
@xitizzz
That's it. In 2015 he started his ponzi scheme (which would take at least 1-2 years to attract significant investment) and from 2017 he started getting significant roles after years of struggling. It's a hell of a coincidence.
@Sam-dc9bg
Wouldn't doubt it. For all we know, the scheme might have been originally created as some way to raise short term funds for that purpose.
@reprovedcandy
There's another video on this guy that actually highlighted that part of the story better. The answer is yes: He was an EP and essentially paid his way into getting those roles.
@JusdoinstuF
im always amazed by how much money people have and are willing to lose. so many rich people out there
@isambo400
Many investors know its a scam but invest just to see what they’re up to
@johnguillett1059
Moral of the story is avoid investment funds that have 1M as any part or variation of their name.
@bokunohunter2054
I wonder when people start a ponzi scheme do they just be like f*ck it I'm going to do everything I've ever wanted to do in the next five years with all this money, knowing they'll spend the next thirty years afterwards in jail.
@JohnDoe-gy5dr
I'm guessing they have a business venture that they think will eventually level out their scheme but just needs time. On very rare occasions, it may have actually worked and we don't know about it because it worked.
