Destiny
Zahara Lyrics

Some their destiny pass them by
Tell me the reason why
Nothing ever stays the same
Sorrow and shame ooh
Only God knows how long
It will take for me to reach my destiny
It will take for me to reach my destiny
Everything may be rushing on me
Everything may be too slow on me
But I'll be here holding it down
I know where I am going
I know where I am going
Cause everything may be rushing on me
And everything may be too slow on me
But I'll be here holding it down
I know where I am going
I know where I am going
Winning
Losing
That ain't the matter
I'll keep on trying
I won't give up
Winning
Losing
That ain't the matter
I'll keep on trying
I won't give up
'Cause everything may be (rushing on me)
And everything may be (too slow on me)
But I'll be here (holding it down)
I know (where I am going)
I know (where I am going)
'Cause everything may be (rushing on me)
And everything may be (too slow on me)
But I'll be here (holding it down)
I know (where I am going)
I know (where I am going)
People telling me it's a highway
And I pondered of letting go
But I know
In each and every end of the tunnel
There will be a little light in the end
And I thought of taking the route
Everybody else
Oh yes has been taking
But I know
I have to find my own destiny ooh
Everything may be (rushing on me)
And everything may be (too slow on me)
But I'll be here (holding it down)
I know (where I am going)
I know (where I am going)
Everything may be (rushing on me)
And everything may be (too slow on me)
But I'll be here (holding it down)
I know (where I am going)
I know (where I am going)
Zahara's "Destiny" is a song about perseverance, determination, and having faith in oneself. The lyrics are focused on the idea that everyone has their own destiny, and while some people may achieve their dreams easily, others may have to work harder and wait longer to reach their own destiny. The song implores the listener to keep pushing, to keep going despite the obstacles, and to believe that they will reach their own destiny in due time, even if it takes longer than expected.
The line "Everything may be rushing on me / Everything may be too slow on me / But I'll be here holding it down" embodies the message of the song. The singer acknowledges that life can be overwhelming and may move too fast or too slow at times, but she promises to hold on and stay steadfast in her pursuit of her destiny. She knows where she's going, and she won't let anything stand in her way. The line "People telling me it's a highway / And I pondered of letting go / But I know / In each and every end of the tunnel / There will be a little light in the end" further emphasizes this idea of hope and the belief that even when things seem bleak, there is always a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
Overall, "Destiny" is a hopeful and inspiring song that encourages listeners to persevere despite the challenges of life and to trust in their own abilities to reach their destiny.
