One of my all-time favorite songs. When I taught myself to play the electric bass this was one of my first achievements and it was emotional to play along with it, took on a new dimension.

This song captures the best in the reggae beat !

My dad played the guitar on this, he was one of Zap Pow's guitarists, and we lost him last year. First man to put wahwah sounds on reggae music, and the first Jamaican guitarist to play the guitar with his teeth. RIP Sweeney "Xodus" Williams. 🎸

I had a mixtape of reggae a friend had handed me in late 90's. This mixtape stayed in rotation in my truck for years, though I could not name a single artist. This song was always a mystery to me. At the moment... enjoying a small dose of mushrooms, wrapped in a small blanket on an even smaller couch, straightening up to a nice mix of reggae, was reminded of that song. One 15 second search and now I know.

This was about 73 when reggae was having its first and own charts emanating from Britain.

Reggae music with a capital R from 50 years ago. Hear the soul (not r&b!) crossing over marking the self-explanatory zeitgeist of the 70's.
