Zara Larsson Lyrics

Never thought I would love again
Here I am, lost in Love Me Land

How dare you have lips like that?
How dare you gon' kiss like that?
How dare you make use of it?
Ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah
Touch me in the way that you do
No matter who's in the room
I see you sweatin' when you feel it, going full out, baby
Touch me in the way that you do
No matter who's in the room
I see you sweatin' (sweatin')

Never thought I would love again (never thought)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (I would love again)
Never thought I would love again (here I am)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (lost in Love Me Land)

Lost in your vocabulary
Got our own vernaculary
Take me home, don't call me Mary
Ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah

Touch me in the way that you do
No matter who's in the room
I see you sweatin' when you feel it, going full out, baby
Touch me in the way that you do
No matter who's in the room
I see you sweatin' (sweatin')

Never thought I would love again (never thought)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (I would love again)
Never thought I would love again (here I am)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (lost in Love Me Land)

Eh-eh, ah-ah
Lipstick stain your soul
Eh-eh, ah-ah
So when you feel it, go full out, baby
Eh-eh, ah-ah
Can't contain my bones
Eh-eh, ah-ah
So when you feel it, go full out, baby

Never thought I would love again (never thought)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (I would love again)

Never thought I would love again (here I am)
Here I am in Love Me Land, eh-eh, ah-ah (lost in Love Me Land)

Overall Meaning

In "Love Me Land" by Zara Larsson, the first two lines of the song convey a sense of surprise and unexpectedness of falling in love again. The singer, who never thought she would "love again," finds herself "lost in Love Me Land." This phrase could refer to being so immersed in her passionate feelings or consumed by her lover that she feels as if they are their own world, entirely disconnected from reality. The lyrics express how the singer is captivated by her lover's kiss, touch, and vocabulary, which creates an intimate connection, causing her to lose herself.

The chorus of the song repeats the line "Never thought I would love again"; this serves as a reminder of how challenging it was for the singer to open herself up to love after previous relationship experiences. The verse, "Got our own vocabulary" indicates that the singer and her lover have developed unique communication skills, indicating a level of intimacy and familiarity between them. The bridge of the song, "Lipstick stain your soul," suggests that the singer's lover has left a mark on her, leaving an eternal impression that stays with her all the time.

Overall, the "Love Me Land" is a song about surrendering oneself entirely to another person, letting go of our inhibitions and trusting our partner, risking pain, disappointment and heartbreak in the hope of love and affection.

I don't understand why she isn't on the same level as Ariana, Dua Lipa and Halsey. She's equally talented as them vocally plus she's the only pop singer right now that can dance and put on a performance. Her label need to promote her better. If they won't we just need to show zara more love!

@jamonicashoals5866

I think her time will come. Ariana already had a strong fanbase from when she was acting and Dua and Halsey put in a Lot of work and got not much recognition like Zara before they were big. I think she still has a chance. All it takes is one song

@ahmadmuhtadin7072

Yass, i agree

@Super-by8nb

She looks too old and tunebox is not helping her

@Echo11_

People know her music but just don't know who she is. Lush Life was almost as popular as Dua Lipa's hit song New Rules, but the difference was in the views. New Rules has well over twice the views as both MVs for Lush Life combined. She needs more promotion and chances to show her personality so people care more about her.

@@Echo11_ I think her time will come, but yes she needs some more really big hits. It comes down to the music I think. And her label is trash as well

@PewDiePie’s Vagina - Ha-ha, that's funny! Shakira did not make her name until she was almost 25 y.o. (With Wherever, whenever album) Zara is only 22 and has had some pretty big hits already. Shakira and Zara has a lot in common. I love them both !

@Geshtafshnifka

PewDiePie’s Vagina - you’re not serious
