No man "Mas, que Nada!" is a song written and originally performed in 1963 by Jorge Ben on his debut album

Homie in a certain sense, this is the “original”. Although Jorge Ben’s recording is the real important one, this was recorded before Jorge’s version. Apparently there was a chorus supposed to sing on this, but they dipped out at the last moment. Jorge was initially supposed to play pandeiro, his first instrument, on this record. But Ze Maria asked Jorge could he sing it? Jorge was nervous (probably his first vocal recording ever), but sing he did.
