Inventar objetos
Pela esfinge
Quando era mulher
Ave de prata
Veneno de fogo
Vaga-lume do mar
Tantas trevas e luz
E cada coisa perdida
Perdidamente
Pode se apaixonar
Pela última vida poucos amigos
Hão de te procurar
Como é o silêncio
E nesse momento tudo deve calar
Numa história
Que venha do povo
O juízo final
Zeca Baleiro's song Ave de Prata is a mysterious, poetic tribute to the complexity and beauty of nature, and the ways in which it intersects with human emotion and experience. The lyrics describe the natural world as far more than meets the eye - it is more than just trees or beasts, but rather an interconnected, multifaceted network of life and death, growth and decay. Baleiro sings of the "seeds of water" and "mysteries of light" that underpin the cycle of life and reproduction, and suggests that this cycle is something far more profound than we can comprehend.
The song also reflects on the passage of time and the ways in which we as humans grapple with the meaning of our own existence. Baleiro references the idea of "multiplying" and "dividing" lies over the course of twenty years, perhaps suggesting that time can be both enriching and corrosive to our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. He also touches on the idea of creating meaning from the world around us - making objects or inventions, or interpreting symbols like the Sphinx.
