Li minui
Lannuit yon dous krikèt ap chante
Yon ti van leve bote tout fèy ale lwen byen lwen
Fè m sonje premye fwa nou kontre
Fè m sonje premye fwa nou kwoke
Kouri men nan men jouk nou pèdi souf van bwote pafen w ale
Jou pase
Mache prese ni lekòl fini
Mwen tande bouch ou sou bouch mwen kap di m pa rele w cheri
Ou te di m pa chita tann ou
Ou te di m ti chimen mennen lwen ou te di m konsa wa di m poukisa ou
te di m kisa w te di m mwen sonje premye fwa nou kontre ou te di m ti
chimen mennen lwen mwen konnen w pa vle lanmou mare pye w men pa
bliye m te pale w si yon nou lavi mennen w tounen pa chache
esplikasyon ban mwen ou te di m nou youn te fèt fèt youn pou lòt

Ou te di m pa chita tann ou
Ou te di m ti chimen mennen lwen ou te di m konsa wa di m poukisa ou
te di m kisa w te di m mwen sonje premye fwa nou kontre ou te di m ti
chimen mennen lwen mwen konnen w pa vle lanmou mare pye w men pa

bliye m te pale w si yon nou lavi mennen w tounen pa chache
esplikasyon ban mwen ou te di m nou youn te fèt fèt youn pou lòt

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Zekle's song Ou Te Dim describe a nostalgic scene where the singer hears a soft cricket singing during a quiet night. The gentle breeze carries the leaves away, taking them far away. The scene reminds the singer of the first time they met someone, the memories of running hand in hand, and being so breathless that they lost themselves in the wind's embrace. The lyrics are a conversation between the singer and their lover, where the singer recalls being told not to wait for their lover, to go down the path that leads away. The lover explains that they're not trying to avoid love but want the singer to venture outside of their comfort zone.

The song's lyrics are intimate and provide insight into a relationship that soars high with emotion. The song’s melody is soft and mellow, complementing the tender lyrics. The lyrics evoke memories of the first-time meeting someone special, and the bold, adventurous spirit of love. Overall, the song is a beautiful depiction of a tender love story where the characters encourage each other to be fearless and bold, while still being gentle with one another.

It was an amazing time in Haiti back then. There was virtually no violence, electricity was available 24/7, parties everywhere, no invitations needed. lol. People had jobs, very little poverty and the schools were amazing. I would kill just to go back in time when Zekle and Papash were first introduced.

De tres souvent j'entends cette phrase: Un genie n'a qu'un siecle. Pour moi, ces gens qui forment ce fameux groupe sont des genies de tous les temps.

I was a kid when my "marraine" explained to me the lyrics of this song. I started dreaming about the type of woman that I want to get married to and thank God, I realised my dream on November the 6th of 2016.
