Ghost Symbol
Zero 7 Lyrics

Wherever I'm staying, you're going away
I learn to part with a smile on my face
Now I'm too good at letting go
too easy to say no

Overall Meaning

In the song "Ghost Symbol" by Zero 7, the lyrics suggest a sense of detachment and emotional distance between two individuals. The first line, "wherever I'm staying, you're going away," implies that one person continuously leaves while the other stays behind, causing a sense of instability and uncertainty in the relationship. Despite this, the singer learns to part with a smile on their face, suggesting that they have adapted to this cycle of separation and have become accustomed to letting go of their emotions. However, this emotional detachment has ultimately created a new problem, where the singer has become too good at letting go and saying no, possibly leading to a sense of emptiness and isolation in their personal life.

Glad to see a lot people adoring this album like me. I read a negative review of the album, just after I bought it. I'm glad I bought it, this album is solid. This song stands out. Love the bass, as pointed out correctly, dubstep/dub influences.

I just bought this album yesterday while I was browsing CD's at a hole in the wall music shop. I had no idea Zero 7 came out with another album, and I'm so glad I picked this up. Their sound is different on this album than their other ones; it was definitely a pleasant surprise.
