When I was an infant my family got our brand new minivan stolen right out of the driveway. About a week later the police chased the guy down in the minivan. He crashed it and ran away on foot, they never got him. They gave the minivan back to my dad, and the guy who stole it left a big ash tray and about 30 CDs in there. My dad always says it was completely worth getting the minivan stolen because he got to discover Zero 7, and he got the car covered by insurance anyway.

I heard this song for the first time as a kid in a Sears department store while my mom was shopping. I'm not sure why but the song kind of made me feel afraid. I have no clue why but I felt alone and sad. It could've just been the simple timbre of the song. As a child, we're always surrounded with energetic pop music. The more carefully crafted, soothing music becomes obscured in the saturated music scene so it's a bit of a shock to hear something like this in the most unexpected moments. As I grew older I've kind of rediscovered the song and it conjured up these dark feelings once more. However, this time it was somewhat bittersweet. Now, I see the beauty in this song. I've grown to love it. It's a calming piece of nostalgia for me. I know this little story might not be of importance or might be just weird to whoever is reading this butI just wanted to share my experience with this song. Music can impact your life on all levels.. just amazing.

I know this isn't the take away, but this song is absolutely perfect for Sears. There is just something about Sears, maybe cause you don't see them anymore. Even when I was a kid, it was just one of those places where not many people were inside.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this song. I first heard this music, no lyrics, in an exercise class as background for our cool down portion. It was hypnotic. I remember doing so many of our slower movements with my eyes closed. It's music that penetrates, gets in you, and under the skin. It's one of the songs in the movie Garden State. I've never watched the whole movie, only the scene where they play this song. You describe it very well (Satori) nostalgic, bittersweet, and now that I've heard the lyrics, I love it even more.

I discovered Zero 7 following the suggestion of Grooveshark when listening to Air. I love them both. In my opinion Air excel at instrumental tracks (i.e. Le voyage de Penelope, La Femme d'Argent, etc), while Zero 7 are the best in finding amazing voices to blend their melodies with.

This is the most spiritually awake song I have heard in many years. Good music is ageless, I am 67 now only heard this a few months ago and have fallen in love with zero 7. Lots of people say there nothing to compare today's music , to what ever decade from the past. I am quite sure people from my youth said the same about 80/90/00/10s sounds thankfully talented people can't be stopped by the likes of Simon Cowell and his cronies.

The very first time that I heard Zero Seven was from watching Garden State. Then I heard Z-7 again in a
bistro type bar in Boulder Colo. After that, I went on the hunt on line and have been a fan ever since. That
electric piano solo is just out of this world!!! The way that they mix electronic music with more conventional
key boards sends me right to the moon......This is the next best thing to levitation.....

2002 when I found Zero 7. It's been forever enshrined into a particular time in my life. A time when I faced immense hardships while no one to support me. Zero 7 helped me go through the long hours on the Greyhound, from state to state…It's that place in my mind that I go back to every time 'waiting line' plays. I love this place. I get this tingling feeling of nostalgia and this floating feeling.
