They began as studio engineers at Mickie Most's RAK recording studio in London, engineering music for British groups like the Pet Shop Boys, Young Disciples, and Robert Plant. In 1997 they were asked by a college friend, Nigel Godrich (who was busy producing 'OK Computer'), to remix Radiohead's "Climbing Up the Walls". They called the mix "the Zero 7 Mix" which stuck.

I have such deep love for this song, it's on my funeral list. Best end credits i can think of. It brings out a feeling of old, a sense of nostalgic beauty. It remembers me of all the great moments in life, and the amazing journey it is and has been. Coincidentally i find the title also really fitting, as crossing over / being out of town could be viewed as synonymous.

I never get tired of hearing this song.

I really can't understand how songs like this have dislikes... Like, what kind of person is so salty and stupid that they want to downvote this beautiful ear-magic?

Probably someone who watches Barney the Dinosaur everyday.

People who don't understand how a song without a single word can be a metaphor for a way of thinking and being in the world. I wish I was as cool and chillax as this song. This song is life-goals.

Terry Hintz Happy to be of service. ;)

@Reinaldo Fuentes It's true! Instrumentals have always impacted me more than songs with lyrics, even if occasionally enhanced by the odd dialogue sample. Long live electronica!
