We take Plastic we take Cash
We sell our hearts second class
We slit our throats on tinted glass
We are selling an image
Everything must go
I want you to know
You want to .com
New simulated sex
We're selling you heaven
Prices down to a low
I thought you should know
It's all in your head
You're living a lie
There is nothing
Money can't buy
We are nothing but Eurotrash
We take Plastic we take Cash
We sell our hearts second class
We slit our throats on tinted glass
We're silicon stitches
Reality bites hard
I want you to know
It's all in your head
You're living a lie
There is nothing Money can't buy
The future is here
Dreams have no end
Everything must go
The lyrics of Zeromancer's "Eurotrash" are critical of the contemporary consumer culture and the self-absorbed and materialistic individuals who are part of it. The term "Eurotrash" is used to denote people who are wealthy, but superficial and classless. The chorus highlights this point. "We are nothing but Eurotrash" "We take Plastic we take Cash," "We sell our hearts second class," "We slit our throats on tinted glass." These lines allude to how the pursuit of materialistic gains can leave a person empty and hollow.
The verse section is addressed to the consumer, in which the artist highlights how everyone is selling an image. The chorus comes back in to make a metacommentary that the individual has no say when it comes to 'selling an image', as they are living a lie that cannot be bought, and this is where the artist makes a statement on the side effects of wanting artificial things, with the reference to the new simulated sex to contrast with the reality of one's reality bites hard. The final line “Everything must go” suggests a desperate and urgent commercial activity to ensure selling the image.
Overall, "Eurotrash" is a harsh criticism of the empty materialistic culture of the wealthy, representing an emotion-laden emptiness brought on by living life as pure commercial determinism.
