Her vardığım yerde yar ister benden.
Sanki benim mor sümbüllü bağım var,
Zemheri ayında gül ister benden.
Yoruldum da yol üstüne oturdum,
Güzeller başıma toplansın diye.
Gittim padişahtan ferman getirdim,
Evlerinin önü zeytin ağacı,
Dökülmüş yaprağı kalmış ağacı.
Eğer senin gönlün bende yok ise,
Sen bana kardeş de ben sana bacı.
The lyrics of Zerrin Özer's song "Bilmem Su Felegin Bende Nesi Var" are about the struggles and longing for love. The first two lines of the song ask what the singer possesses that makes people always ask for love from him wherever he goes. It's as if he has a beautiful garden filled with purple flowers, but during the winter season, someone still wants a rose from him. These metaphors reflect the idea that despite the singer's efforts to make the world beautiful for those around him, he cannot satisfy everyone's needs.
The third and fourth lines of the song recount how the singer grew weary from his travels and decided to rest. He sits by the road, hoping that beautiful women will gather around him. The next line reflects the singer's willingness to go to great lengths to bring joy to others. He traveled to the king and brought back a decree so that everyone can reunite with their loved ones.
The final two lines of the song reflect sadness and bitterness. Imagine a beautiful olive tree in front of a house with only a few remaining leaves. The singer tells someone that if he or she does not love him, they can be siblings. The mood of the song is emotionally charged, with a mix of hope and despair, love and loss.
