And I said, I wo-, I woke to the summer on my window
And I miss you most when the sunlight filters across these empty sheets
And days in the sun, the winter cold on your cheeks
And everything we need love I can feel in my bones
On days like these and days like those
Days in the sun
And I am singing to my mother, singing to the seas
See I've been singing to my father, singing to the trees
Singing to the things that help us breathe
Days in the sun
Are all, these days are all, all, always, they are always
The best with you
And so I woke to the, the sun on the window of my car
And I said, I wo-, I woke to the winter on my window
And I miss you most when the sunlight filters across these empty sheets
And days in the sun, and Ben Howard on repeat
But everything we need love I can feel in my bones
On days like these and days like those
Days in the sun
Nights on the streets
And I am singing to my mother, singing to the seas
See I've been singing to my father, singing to the trees
Singing to the things that help us breathe
Days in the sun
Nights on the streets
And I am singing to my mother, singing to the seas
See I've been singing to my father, singing to the trees
Singing to the things that help us breathe
Days in the sun
Are all, these days are all, all, always, they are always
The best with you
The lyrics to Ziggy Alberts's song "Days in the Sun" appear to be about the singer reflecting on past experiences with a loved one. He wakes up to the sun on his car window, and he misses the person the most when the sunlight filters across the empty sheets. The singer goes on to describe how he sings to his mother, the seas, his father, and the trees. He talks about how everything they need, love, he can feel in his bones on days like these and days like those. The line "Days in the sun, the winter cold on your cheeks" seems to contrast the sunny days the singer is describing with the colder, more difficult times. The song seems to be about finding joy and peace in the daily moments, even in the absence of a loved one.
One interpretation of these lyrics could be that the singer believes that memories with loved ones are like days in the sunshine, always bright and joyful. The winter cold on the loved one's cheeks could symbolize the hardships that the couple might have faced together, but the singer acknowledges that love is what they need to overcome them, and he feels its warmth and positivity in his bones. The repetitiveness of the chorus could imply that the singer is trying to convince himself or the person he misses that their relationship was, and still is, the best.

Man I love your music so much! I even bought a guitar to teach myself to play your songs. Unfortunately none of my friends enjoy it as much as I do. Kinda bums me out that I have no one to appreciate and listen to your music with. Will always be a fan anyway :)
