Reggae, reggae, reggae, reggae feeling
The song "Reggae is Now" by Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers is a celebration of the genre of reggae music. The lyrics begin with a declaration that reggae is a current music genre with both feeling and meaning. The chorus repeats this sentiment and emphasizes that reggae is a genre that has evolved beyond just the traditional sound of reggae, including rock elements and tougher tones. It's also suggested that reggae is not just limited to a certain group or gender, as everyone can enjoy and participate in the music.
The song takes on a more introspective tone in the second verse, questioning the lies and misconceptions that have been created about Africa and Ethiopia. It highlights that the reggae genre often speaks to political and social issues, and suggests that reggae has the ability to help dispel these lies and bring truth to light.
Overall, the song celebrates the present and diverse state of reggae and encourages everyone to embrace and enjoy this unique genre of music.
