She left Polygram in 1990, moved to São Paulo and decided to dedicate herself to a less commercial repertoire than that demanded by her former record label. She put together the show "Sobre Todas as Coisas", backed up by Marcos Suzano (percussion) and Lui Coimbra (violin-cello), with whom she toured Brazil. The show was later recorded by the label Eldorado. In 1993, "Valsa Brasileira", with its slick repertoire and expert technical back-up, was released by the label Velas and helped to put her up amongst the leading names on the MPB scene. In 1997, she recorded "Per Amore" – which was a commercial sensation, with its sales boosted by the title track. The following year, she released "Passione", an album Italian songs, only.
Mania
Zizi Possi Lyrics

Hoje sei, não adiantou
Mas não sei se você já viu o filme
E fingiu que não interessou
Dou um jeito de acender seu cigarro
Arranjo uma carona no seu carro
Um bom entendedor o pouco que repara
Vai dizer que você nem desconfia
Que a mania já virou paixão
Vai dizer que você nem desconfia
Que a mania já virou paixão
Sou capaz de mendigar a coragem
O jeito é confessar toda a verdade
Os olhos vão falar, a voz só diz bobagem
Levanto mais um brinde a amizade
Eu sonhei, eu pensei, eu pedi
Hoje sei, não adiantou
The lyrics in Zizi Possi's "Mania" talk about a person who dreams and thinks of someone they have a crush on. They ask for a chance, but it seems that their efforts have been in vain. The singer tries to find ways to get closer to their crush, even if it means just lighting their cigarette or getting a ride in their car. The lyrics suggest that the crush may have noticed the singer's advances but chose to pretend not to be interested. The singer is willing to do anything to build the courage to confess their feelings, even if it means begging. They also understand that their infatuation has turned into love, even if their crush remains unaware.
The song's lyrics convey a sense of longing and unrequited love. The singer imagines different scenarios where they can connect with their crush, but the reality seems far from their dreams. The chorus repeats the phrase "Vai dizer que você nem desconfia, Que a mania já virou paixão" (Are you going to say you don't suspect that the mania has turned into love?), highlighting the singer's internal struggle to express their feelings. The lyrics also showcase the singer's vulnerability and their willingness to take risks, such as confessing their love.
