She left Polygram in 1990, moved to São Paulo and decided to dedicate herself to a less commercial repertoire than that demanded by her former record label. She put together the show "Sobre Todas as Coisas", backed up by Marcos Suzano (percussion) and Lui Coimbra (violin-cello), with whom she toured Brazil. The show was later recorded by the label Eldorado. In 1993, "Valsa Brasileira", with its slick repertoire and expert technical back-up, was released by the label Velas and helped to put her up amongst the leading names on the MPB scene. In 1997, she recorded "Per Amore" – which was a commercial sensation, with its sales boosted by the title track. The following year, she released "Passione", an album Italian songs, only.
Volver A Los 17

Después de vivir un siglo
Es como descifrar signos
Sin ser sabio competente
Volver a ser de repente
Tan frágil como un segundo
Volver a sentir profundo
Como un niño frente a Dios
En este instante fecundo
Se va enredando, enredando
Como en el muro la hiedra
Y va brotando, brotando
Como el musguito en la piedra
Ay si si si
Mi paso retrocedido
Cuando el de ustedes avanza
El arco de las alianzas
Ha penetrado en mi nido
Con todo su colorido
Se ha paseado por mis venas
Y hasta las duras cadenas
Con que nos ata el destino
Es como un diamante fino
Que alumbra mi alma serena
Lo que puede el sentimiento
No lo ha podido el saber
Ni el mas claro proceder
Ni el más ancho pensamiento
Todo lo cambia el momento
Cual mago condescendiente
Nos aleja dulcemente
De rencores y violencias
Sólo el amor con su ciencia
Nos vuelve tan inocentes
El amor es torbellino
De pureza original
Hasta el feroz animal
Susurra su dulce trino
Detiene a los peregrinos
Libera a los prisioneros
El amor con sus esmeros
Al viejo lo vuelve niño
Y al malo solo el cariño
Lo vuelve puro y sincero
De par en par en la ventana
Se abrió como por encanto
Entró el amor con su manto
Como una tibia mañana
Al son de su bella diana
Hizo brotar el jazmín
Volando cual serafín
Al cielo le puso aretes
Y mis años en diecisiete
Los convirtió el querubín
The lyrics to Zizi Possi's song "Volver A Los 17" explore the theme of returning to the age of seventeen, after living a century. It is described as deciphering signs without being a wise expert. The singer expresses the experience of suddenly becoming as fragile as a second, and feeling deeply like a child in the presence of God. This sentiment is described as a fecund moment, full of potential and growth.
The lyrics further evoke the image of a vine entangling itself on a wall and moss growing on a stone, symbolizing the organic and natural return to this youthful state. The singer reflects on the contrast between their own backward steps and the progress made by others, highlighting the transformative power of love in breaking the chains of destiny. Love is depicted as a fine diamond that illuminates the singer's serene soul.
The lyrics emphasize the limitations of knowledge, logic, and rational thinking when compared to the power of feeling and love. The moment has the ability to change everything, like a benevolent magician. Love has the capacity to gently distance us from resentments and violence, making us innocent and pure once again. It is portrayed as a whirlwind of original purity, able to tame even the fiercest of animals. The love of a child can transform an older person and bring out the sincerity and purity in even the worst of individuals.
In the final section, love is personified as a warm morning that enters through the window like magic, covering everything with its uplifting presence. It brings forth the blooming jasmine and decorates the sky like earrings. The singer describes how love has turned their years into seventeen again, symbolizing a renewal of youth and innocence through its influence.
