Timeless
Zolar X Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm caught in time, so I'm imprisoned.
The tick of time goes on on and on.
Time will never wait for you.
Life is short and time takes it away.
I want to be Timeless.
I would like to live with infinity.
Sail on ships through timeless seas.
Never grow old live for eternity.
I wish this for you, I wish this for me.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Zolar X's song Timeless evoke a feeling of being trapped by time, as if it's an invisible force that controls our lives. The opening line "I'm caught in time, so I'm imprisoned" suggests that our lives are restricted by time and we have little control over it. The reference to the "tick of time" further reinforces this idea of time moving constantly, pushing us forward without regard for our desires.

However, the song also speaks to a deeper desire for something greater than our fleeting existence. The lyrics express a desire to be timeless, to break free from the confines of mortality and live indefinitely. This longing is shown through lines such as "I want to be timeless" and "never grow old live for eternity." The idea of sailing on ships through timeless seas suggests a journey to a faraway place beyond the reach of time.

Overall, Zolar X's Timeless is a song that explores the dual nature of time – both as a constraining force in our lives and as something we desire to transcend. It's a powerful message that speaks to our innate human longing for something more.

Weird story for me about this album. I used to shop at Blue Meanie records in El Cajon with my friend around '83. We used to see two colored discs on the wall, one was Orange, the other was Clear. I was more interested in the Clear one, so I made a deal with my friend that he would by the Orange one, and I would buy the clear one next time we were back. When we were back in the store a week later, the Orange one which was labled ("Orange" go figure) was gone, so my friend immediately grabbed the clear one being the Zolar X record.I had a recording on cassette and played it for awhile, and kind of liked it. Then my friend died years later, and I inherited this clear record. I had no idea of the background of this record until it was re-released, and I didn't know that it was rare until recently. I theorized that this was just a gimmick to sell records to parents to buy them for their kids for christmas, sort of like "gee it looks interesting, and my kid likes spacey music, I think I'll buy it for him". I also thought maybe they were from behind the iron curtain. Now, I find that the music is rocking, trippy, catchy and novel, and I think if Kiss could sell millions they could sell millions.

Great story...I had the.. well depends how you look at it.. luck,of visiting the woodland hills blue meanie records..I was at the time still sort of small potatoes as far as my vinyl collection went, and was real low buck on my one visit there..hell,it took over 2 hours via the RTD (the loser cruiser...the bus!) Just to get there..but they had stuff I never knew existed..or could exist. Most regular shops might have, say, iron maiden number of the beast...but what the hell are these 12" singles...with unheard tracks...in picture sleeves..and not just that one album... not just that one band...as memory serves,my hard earned, hard saved teenage bucks.. minus return bus fare... scored me a import Motorhead pic disc... and a Necros 7" of conquest for death (the b-side is a ripper called "take em' up") with a pushead sleeve...was the red hand colored as legend had it? Like my negative approach 7" ( with message written inside sleeve " baby you drop the bomb on me" ) I got around the same time ( at the closer to home but no way as cool, slipped disc)? Not sure who the buyer was... but it's a safe bet the ZX 12" was available there too..as it seemed every fucking record in blue meanie was a worthy addition to your stack o' wax...anyone got any history or info on blue meanie records? They were gone shortly after my one trip there.......

@PoserExposer original op was 6 years ago, and your comment was 2 years ago Lol But idk! Those are some way cool stories! That store sounds like it was a damn mythical place. Surely there is some crazy cool history with it. I'm gonna investigate.
