The group was founded in 1979 by Bernardo Bonezzi (Madrid, 1964-2012 ), who even before the age of fourteen had led a band called Morbus Acre and formed part of the seminal group of the Madrid scene Kaka de Luxe. The Zombies pooled influences of glam rock (Lou Reed, David Bowie, Brian Eno ) and new wave (Talking Heads, B- 52's ). They signed to RCA , who released the group's first single, the catchy "Groenland", a song that still remains among the best-known Spanish pop songs of the 80, and is present in numerous compilations of music from the decade.
Encouraged by the success of the single, they recorded their first album, 'Extraños juegos', one of the most successful pop albums of the 80s. However, following the release of the second LP, 'La muralla china', Bonezzi decided to leave the group in 1982 to pursue other projects.

When I walked with you last night
My mind
Saw that you'd soon hold me tight
I can't concede, no
I can't believe you love me too
Realize what you can do
I just sympathize but still it's true
I can't concede, no
I can't believe you love me too
Woman
When I walked with you last night
My mind
Saw that you'd soon hold me tight
I can't concede, no
I can't believe you love me too
No, no, no
I want you to understand my mind
Seems that girls that do are hard to find
I can't concede, no
I can't believe you love me too
The lyrics to "Woman" by the Zombies convey a sense of disbelief in the singer's mind at the possibility of being loved by the woman he's walking with. The first verse sets the scene for a romantic encounter, where the singer's mind is already convinced that the woman will soon be holding him tight. However, despite this, the singer can't believe that she loves him back, and he keeps repeating this line throughout the song.
The second verse reveals that the singer sympathizes with the woman's lack of awareness about what she can do, and that it's still true that he can't believe she loves him too. The chorus brings back the familiar refrain of disbelief, and this time, it's echoed with an emphatic "no, no, no." The final verse talks about the singer's desire for the woman to understand his mind, which he believes is rare among girls.
Overall, the lyrics to "Woman" are straightforward and simple, conveying a sense of insecurity and disbelief about the possibility of a romantic connection. The singer is worried that the woman doesn't understand him or love him, despite his own strong feelings for her.
