He has released music on several labels, including Hyperdub, Werk Discs, 4AD, and XL Recordings. Zomby's influences include jungle music and Wiley's eskibeat sound.

Zomby's first major release was the Zomby EP in 2008 on Hyperdub.

He released his first full length album, Where Were U in '92?, also in 2008. The album's title refers to the opening line from the M.I.A song "XR2" and is a homage to the scene of the early 1990s, reflected by Zomby's mixture of chiptune-inflected UK Garage style with the more upbeat, ravey stylings of breakbeat house. Zomby used equipment from the period, such as the Akai S2000 sampler and Atari ST computer.

In 2009, he released a subsequent collection of tracks, One Foot Ahead of the Other.

In 2011, Zomby signed to 4AD Records, on which he released Dedication, also in 2011. In a four-star review in The Guardian, it was described as "an album of pensive, thought-provoking music," drawing comparisons to pianist Keith Jarrett and 1990s techno act Spooky. Later that year, he released the Nothing EP.

In 2013, Zomby released a double album, entitled With Love.

In 2015, he released a double EP on XL Recordings, entitled Let's Jam!!

So I just talked to Reark, and apparently he wrote basically everything except the drums and was duped into thinking that zomby was going to collab with him. all zomby did really add mastering and looped the original one minute track and called it his work and then a few months later offered reark a shitty contract after he had found out what zomby released the track under his name.

I'm not saying the Natalia loop isn't his, i'm just saying there is a massive leap compared to his other tracks. The stuff he's put up lately is better in terms of production quality but still nothing that makes me want to listen to him. Dedication is an amazing LP. Reviewers don't really sway me one way or another the way listening to something does. If Zomby never evolved i would hate him and anyone that rags on him as a producer likely doesn't measure up in their respective creative outlets

@larkingclogger Irina Dubcova released the original song. Natalia covered it. Reark used Natalia's vocals, yet Irina assumed they were hers. Using vocal covers is perfectly legal, (Burial does it on his track Untrue), so Irina has nothing to be angry about.

@GarenDJ Well to be fair deadmau5 is talented as an artist, he's no Jonas Brothers! He may be successful in getting mainstream success but he is a rare case of not losing his distinctive sound by it (aka rare case of actually having talent I guess), he genuinely did pioneer a sound style and has a very good ear for music (IMO)

@adrenacrumb I disagree with you - Ramp, Hyperdub or even Keysound would more likely release new Zomby material no matter what. He already has a history of being a dick on forums and not showing up for gigs yet his stuff has still been released. At the end of it all his music is top notch and that's the only thing that should matter

@AquaticSkipper Yes, this is true, he did pioneer a sound style, but he has lost his distinctive sound. Listen to Finished Symphony, or Brazil (1st edit), then listen to his 4x4=12 album. The rise of electro house has taken him over...I for one miss his old sound.

@larkingclogger I don't get why you keep debating this. Reark has had a contract with 4AD and has been credited on the track for months now. He didn't get any media attention until a week ago when he decided the agreement was not fair and posted the clip on his soundcloud. Do you think you know more than the label?

@GarenDJ For the majority, music isn't really about music at all. It's all image. Kids are programmed to respond to this, but a lot of people never grow out of this mentality. Music is just background noise and a distraction from life for a lot of people, not an art. You can compare it to videogames. So many people play a game for what it looks like (or the "awesome" things it lets you do), and wouldn't know good gameplay if it came up and slapped them. We're living in a world of morons

@shperi big problem for reark is that zomby stole the limelight. since the track was released he has had no recognition and up till the other day reark had no credit for it. zomby is just a fookin bully- produces the bangas though!
