Another Time
Zoser Mez Lyrics

Another Time
The streets found me wandering
Crossing the town
Full of lovers in the mideve
Bright neon lights cascading down
Arcs of rainbows cross the pavement

There he stood
That weird old man
Full of smiles, so full of laughter
And people came from miles around
To hear his words and join his banter
Babbebaby join in his banter

He turned round and touched a face
Spoke out loud and smiled his grace

I've seen the future
He turned and said
I know it works
Turned round
I've seen the future, I know it works
And then he turned young

Another day, another time
Here on a beach in the sunshine
Sounds of waves, children's crying
Moments of joy to be shared forever

There he stood again
That weird old man
Full of smiles, full of laughter
And people came from miles around
To hear his words, to join in his banter
Babbebaby join in his banter

He turned round and trouched a face
Spoke out loud and smiled his grace

I've seen the future
He turned again
I know it works
Turned round
I've seen the future, I know it works
And then he turned young

Show it works!

And the silence of the rainbow
Kept his secrets well hidden
As he took on to the air
silver wings silhouetted against the sky

Plain to see, plain to see for you and me
The young man, the old man, I

Overall Meaning

"Another Time" by Zoser Mez is a surrealistic journey through time with a mysterious old man as the guide. The lyrics open with the singer wandering the streets of a town full of lovers in the middle of the night. The streets are bright with neon lights, and arcs of rainbows cross the pavement. Suddenly, the old man appears, full of smiles and laughter, and people come from far and wide to hear his words and join in his banter. He has seen the future and confidently tells everyone that he knows it works.

The song then takes a leap to another time, another day, and another place, this time on a beach in the sunshine. The sound of waves and children's laughter fills the air, and the strange old man appears once again. This time, he speaks of his knowledge of the future, telling everyone that he knows it works. The lyrics end with the old man taking to the air, his silver wings silhouetted against the sky, as the young man and old man meld into one.

Damn! I didn't know that was a cover! Yes, I also love the album...it was a pretty awesome concept, and it's too bad more people didn't take notice of it.
