I wonder if that real-life tip about the house having a heart is a reference to the fantastic short indie horror game 'Anatomy'.

@Buttonmasher50

Or an Edgar Allen Poe reference. Either way, good show!

@bird9188

Or possibly a reference to Monster House, though that's unlikely. There is weirdly a lot of media about sentient houses, maybe they are onto something

@bug_w0rlds

a house has hallways as veins
and if it doesn’t have guests that reside in it, it mimics them

@uraniumsgloriousjunkyard6194

Exactly what I thought

@oscarlove4394

@@bird9188 or just a cool coincidence.
remember that everything is true, if you want to believe something hard enough you can find information confirming it.

I think it's also important to mention that psychopomp is a greek word for a creature that guides souls to the afterlife. It is symbolical to our mc as In all three main levels our objective is to kill someone who's already lived their life and is being kept artificially for profit of others(the queen of nuggets, the three figures in the hospital and the factory worker). And since psychopomp is actually the helmet, it in a sense guides our girl to her "afterlife" as well. She ends her life as human and goes off somewhere new as queen of Venus. Many bigger questions don't have the answer for now and the dev said they wanted to expand the universe, so for now we just let them cook

When i first saw someone play this game id definitely gotten the impression that the story was meant to actually be more metaphorical than literal. The references to a lot of actual conspiracies initially made me think it was maybe a parody about conspiracy stuff in general, but it being about mental illnesses like having untreated schizophrenia makes a LOT of sense to me, especially with the specific detail that the MC is somehow the only person who these things have been "hidden" from, while somehow everyone else knew about it all. Its very much that sort of unknowing "main character syndrome" that ive heard folks with schizophrenia/delusions in some manner (after being treated/medicated) talk about having gone through prior to treatment. Being so sure that its all as it seems, that its all real, while directly contradicting themself (again, the "this has been hidden" despite also "everyone else has known about it but me, until now"), truly does give the vibes that its a metaphor for having serious delusion troubles that the MC cannot discern from reality, and thus believes it, as anyone who literally sees things and has no way to prove its not real would end up doing. It doesnt help that such conspiracies get popularized in the media so much, tbh, it only adds fuel to existing fires. Its a fucked up cycle until something/someone manages to get the person help (and until a medication actually WORKS, thats also a huge trouble when it comes to treatment) that they accept. A lotta people dont realize that when you truly are under the impression that treatment is actually a trap and medications are dangerous, you wouldnt go along with the damn treatment. Its a vicious cycle. The MC of the game is to a point where everything is blurred and obscured.

The game could also be about mental illnesses developing from drug use (the "health" syringes could actually be drugs, the helmet could be a metaphor for being on said drugs, etc. Could also be a combo of someone whos schizophrenic who starts taking drugs in an attempt to help themself, but it simply worsens their situation.

Who knows! I love interpretive pieces. All i know is that this game is definitely some sort of allegory or metaphor.
