Glorious
Zwan Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So when i'm walking with my love
And the world turns its head
I can't hear what they're saying to us
Through all their screams

We're giving up love for what i've said
Can't you see we all play dead
And all other thoughts went unspoken
Times were good and times were bad
Time was all i ever had
And may your circle stay unbroken, glorious

You fall and i fall, glorious
You fall and i fall, glorious
You fall and you fall, glorious
I fall and you fall

When i'm walking with my love
Across the trails of the dead
May they sing their praises till you
Forget everything i said

Then i come to you
In a quiet move
To say

We're giving up love for what i've said
Can't you see we all play dead
And all other thoughts went unspoken
Times were good and times were bad
Time was all i ever had
And may your circle stay unbroken, glorious

You fall and i fall, glorious
You fall and i fall, glorious
You fall and i fall, glorious
You fall and i fall

They let me run around
They forced me to the ground
They played their tricks on me
They led me to believe
There was no prodigal son
[?] become someone though
Glorious

And i'll feel the same
'cause i am the same
And i know the way home
And i'll still complain
'cause i am the change
And i'll forever seem glorious

Time may not feel as empty
[?]
Time may not feel as empty
[?]

Glorious, yeah
Glorious
It's glorious
It's glorious

Glorious, glorious
Glorious

Overall Meaning

The song Glorious by Zwan can be interpreted in different ways. However, the overall theme of the song seems to be about the power of love and the ability of love to overcome whatever obstacles that might come our way. The song begins with the singer, probably Billy Corgan, walking with his love, and the world turns its head. He seems to be referring to how people sometimes judge others without knowing them. The world turns its head, but he cannot hear what they are saying, probably because he is focused on his love. The screams of the world cannot reach him because of the powerful bond he has with his love.

The singer then talks about giving up love for what he has said, and how we all play dead. It seems to be a reference to how people sometimes give up on love or relationships because of something they said or did, and they let their pride and ego stand in their way of making things right. The chorus talks about falling together, which can be interpreted as the challenges that they face together in the relationship. The singer then talks about coming to his love and saying that times were good and bad, but time was all he ever had. He wishes for their circle to stay unbroken.

The song seems to be about how love can conquer all, and we should not let our words or pride get in the way of love. It is about facing challenges and falling together, but ultimately staying together.

@@BillyCorgan777 I was at the San Diego show after this and made a recording of it that I lost... and it makes me want to cry that I don’t have that tape. As far as I know there’s no audio of the San Diego show

@Waynooski

Would have loved a studio recording of this song, but the organic feel of this live version really brings out the 'momentous' power in the solos and vocals that I think would be lost in a polished recording. --> listen to live versions of Spilled Milk vs. the UK recording. I absolutely adore the crass exclamations Billy belts in the live versions

@SPACEB0YZER0

Awesome song!

@Fook_Yu

Fuck yes, haven't heard this in years
