The actor didn't feel the same way as the actress did in the video. With time, the actor may have eventually fallen in love with the actress; but even if he did, the actress has this romanticized fantasy of what the perfect relationship should be like built up in her head. Such a fantasy may have been impossible for the actor (or any other person for that matter) to live up to.

In the beginning they were in love, it was perfect. Picture perfect. They were in their own little world where no one else existed. To her, because they were so in love they were the only ones they could see. He takes a picture as "proof" of their love, but they begin to sneak around the house. Why? Because she's his secret, the other woman. They work (as actors on this set) together so no one thinks of it as more. He tells her he wants to be with her forever but it's a lie, fake, and simply an act. Then she notices when other people are around he acts different, distant. I actually think there's not that much meaning behind it...it's just supposed to be two actors filming a commercial. You can see how they randomly cut to product placement (the headphones, the phone, the labels on her shoes) because they're shooting a commercial. In it they play lovers, but just like in any acting scenario as soon as the job is done they have no real feelings for each other. However, she's fooled by his acting and ends up falling in love with him. She goes into the computer screen to relive the moment with him forever...I think basically it's just supposed to be two actors shooting a commercial and one falls in love with the other, not all this deeper stuff.

This song reminds me of year 2014 when my old friend who is now in a better place recommended this for me. She said it kind of reminded her of our relationship even though we were just friends. I never actually checked it out but a month after she left I saw it in a playlist I had saved. I then realised the emotion that she had when she told me to check it out. But now she's in a better place.
