Just a warning to people from poorer countries who accept labouring jobs in Dubai. Make sure you go through a reputable employment agency. If anyone tries to take your passport when you get there, you should be very worried. Do a lot of research before travelling to a foreign country, no matter which purpose you are travelling for, but do double research when travelling for employment. There have been cases of Indians and Bangladeshis who have been held as kind of slave captives for labouring, in a similar way to girls who have accepted jobs in different countries, find themselves being kept as sex slaves, after having their passports taken off them and the original employment contracts are ignored, and the cost of travel has to be paid off before the passport is returned. On slave wages this is impossible. It's a scam. This is not the normal thing, but it does happen. So check, double check, triple check.

Young women duly warned are aware of what can happen to them
and there should be literally none of them traveling alone abroad for jobs.
@sallybalkin8507
@@rick-be I was talking about guys with labouring. It probably happens equally. Having had some experience with families who have had their daughters trafficked from Nepal to India, it's a tough call. These people are so poor, mostly uneducated, and the traffickers are so convincing. And teenagers are rebellious by nature, and think they know better than they do, everywhere. The girls often cross the Indian-Nepal border freely, with friends or new acquaintances (also victims). Anti trafficking charities in Nepal teach the girls to make their own business (small scale farming, sewing etc...) so they can stay home, and do role plays as to how a trafficker will approach and talk to them and how to avoid it. If we don't want to see young people from poor countries trafficked and taken advantage of, we have to come at it another way. Make a world where travelling abroad is not the only option to support your family.
Unfortunately it often doesn't matter if there is more than one travelling too. But I agree that young girls should never travel alone. I do, I'm older, but I have a lot of experience and have had some close calls myself. Now I generally know how to minimalise the risks, and I travel safely by the grace of the almighty. People trafficking and slavery is a global community problem. And the more we do, to make it harder to do, the better.

@@sallybalkin8507 When I wrote"none should be traveling alone",I meant none without their parents.And none to closed countries,I did not consider India as one of them.

Correction: Dubai doesn't have a 'Postal Address' System. Instead people can only send letters to a 'P.O. Box' and they have to be collected from the Post Office. No one delivers letters there.
@robkunkel8833
Picking up mail at a Post Office is the way of the future. People living in the States are lucky to have that. It is certainly not a governmental necessity.
@rick-be
@@robkunkel8833 I agree,the USPS is a marvel,but a very expensive one.
