Think Twice

Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me
Larger than life, niceties
Bigger than you, more than me
I've got the Monday morning blues
And give the everyday morning news
And there's things right here that can't afford to choose
Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me
Sincere, caramel, champagne
Down drain, tell him, no gain
It's so damn physical it will sustain
And too damn Technicolor to refrain
And much too taxing for my little brain
Why do we never know enough of happy ends?
Why do they never show?
All the times that we have been so good at caring
How many times we'll never know
Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know that you've been thinking
Close your eyes and think of me
Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me
Packed it like a punch, out to lunch
I got a little hunch that stood out from the bunch
As if that's not enough, I even knew the reason why
That goddamn bitch of life, she made me cry
So I'd like to poke her squarely in the eye
And it hurt so much I feel like I could die
Yeah-yeah
The song "Think Twice" by Armada Groove is a fusion of contemporary beats and lyrics that highlights the longing for a happy ending, wrapped around the theme of lost love. The lyrics encourage the listeners to close their eyes and let go of the pain caused by the past, and to think only of the singer themselves. The opening line "Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking" asks the listener to reflect on their experiences and to let go of the negativity.
The song then proceeds to touch on the theme of feeling trapped and restricted by societal norms, which are represented in the lyrics "Larger than life, niceties, bigger than you, more than me." There's a strong sense of being lost in the chaos of life, as can be heard in the lyrics "I've got the Monday morning blues, And, oh my God, I've got the home for you, And give the everyday morning news, And there's things right here that can't afford to choose." This theme is further explored with the line "And too damn Technicolor to refrain, And much too taxing for my little brain," which suggests that life can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to find a way out.
In conclusion, "Think Twice" is about letting go of the pain, leaving the past behind, and focusing on oneself. The lyrics portray a feeling of being lost, trapped, and confused, while also highlighting the need to look forward and find happiness. The song encourages listeners to take a moment to reflect and find a way to move past the negative experience.

@@FeeraCooks The song, I think, is overall about a strained but hopeful relationship but one that eventually ends with pain, in my mind cheating. It can be interpreted from a male/female/gay/straight point of view as far as the singer and the relationship and that's why I was often vague using genderless pronouns like they/them. But seeing as this is performed by Neneh Cherry I will revise/clarify my original post:
"The singer knows the person she is with is experiencing feelings of restlessness and discontentment, and she wants her partner to forget those feelings and think of her, who feels she is perfectly capable of providing the love and a sense of home her partner craves. She understands the feelings her partner is having, but this makes it all the worse when the partner does indeed go behind the singer's back."
She urging her partner to "Think Twice" about the actions they take in an attempt to prevent the eventual pain evident in the last verse.
The "God damn bitch of life, she made me cry" could be a personification of the unfairness of life in general, or to a specific person, whether it's the partner (assuming then the partner is female) or another woman the partner cheated with. I tend to think its more the symbolic personification than the more literal version, but you could probably take it either way.
Hope that clears things up!
